RRU , Ahmedabad 's Overview

The presence of Cyber security along with cse eh was what compelled me to go choose this course in the first place. We are still being taught computer Fundamentals so it is a bit too early to say abs talk about real world applications. But, the faculties have constant discussions with us about the growing trends in the industry and guide us accordingly. Although projectors are present in the classroom, it occupies a lot of space of the class board rendering the teachers unable too use the board while projecting contents. So instead the presence of a smart board of having a seerate area of projection will improve the teaching quality by tons. Several quizzes and tests are taken in between the main tests which are efficient for completing the syllabus. The main exams take place after Every 2 - 2.5 months . Focus during the class is necessary because teacher's mostly set questions regarding whatever they have already taught in the class. The overall difficulty for the midsem was moderate though the teachers have warned is that the end sems will be tougher.

Mostly 3 rd year. Both private companies as well as governed agencies visit rru as it has a specialization in cyber security. The highest package i have heard a senior had gotten was 46 lpa . The average expected package is around 10-12 lpa. Details show 99% get placements Giving gate exams and then doing Mtech in IIt.

The fees includes 1) Rp 82500 per semester 2) Rp 10000 caution money deposit Thus total of Rp 92500 per sem Scholarship includes 1) 100 % fees waiver for top 5 % of the student. 2) 75% waiver for the next 4% of student. 3) 50% waiver for next 4% of student.

Various functions as well as festival celebrations occur in rru. The 3 main overall functions are OPEN STAGE( aug-sep) , NAVYA(march) AND AARAMBH(nov-dec). Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated pompously , and during Navratri Garba was played enthusiastically. Since rru in located in midst of lavad village, no clubs are present nearby but every week or fortnight , DJ nights are held where students are allowed to enjoy and dance. E library is present as well as physical library. Reading hall as well as labs is open 24/7 . Huge playgrounds, with various sports are practiced including volleyball, basketball, athletics , football, cricket etc. Active clubs like dance, music, drama, art, etc are present which mostly function after the class hours.

I applied to Techno India university for the case department which i would have easily gotten via my WBJEE results but the presence of Cyber security along with the cse was what compelled me to join Rru. I have the IISER examinations but since i didn't qualify, i could not go into IISER. I got into Rru via the jee percentile and the women quota. I got 87.5 percentile in jee 2024 and was called from Rru. I accepted the opportunity of joining rru ad that is how i entered rru.

As for sem 1 , we have 4 subjects, along with a +1 subject . The midsems take place which is followed by the end sem examinations. There are 5 faculties for teaching 5 subjects as well as various others who maintain and coordinate the working of the SITAICS department. I personally really like Nitin sir who teaches CP and Sampurna Maam who teaches Mathematics. The exam level is moderate for the midsem but tougher for the end sem. New faculties set even the mid sem"s paper harder. Being one of the only 3 or 4 universities which teaches cyber security along with cse, the course is done quite well.
