Best time of my life

The positivity that we get from surroundings are just breathtaking. But the negative side is that the college has banned the union from conducting various cultural programs. There are many expectations for the students from this college.

The Course Curriculum is exactly the same as prescribed by The University of Kerala. The duration of the Bachelor in literature program is three years. In a year according to the curriculum, there will be two semesters in a year. First semester is 6 months. And after the end of the 4th month, there will be a Internal exam. The question paper of the exam is prepared by our own teachers. The marks of the exam will be counted as for the internal marks. Internal marks for a subject is 20 of which 5 is for attendance, 5 for assignments, 10 for internal exam. The final semester exam will be for 80 marks.

The job opportunities and placements are very high in the college just because of the fact that only the students with overall best and high marks are opted by the college. But it is to be noted from the management side that they are giving a lot of reservation for the Malankara Catholics both in college and In hostels.This adversely affect the normal students in admission related areas. College provides internship for some selected students.

Due to the reality that the college union has been suspended, there were no major events in the college in 2018.But the University arts festival is coming on March 2019,students are currently rehearsing for that. Other events are some of the flash mobs conducted by some of the hostel students. There was a Sports tournament of basketball namely Ivano fest.

Fee structure is just normal as compared to any other college. But there are also Self financing block in which the student have to pay some extra fees. But overall, the system is affordable. The Self financing Is for English and B. Com.

There is no loan facility unfortunately, but there is scholarship for the academically brighter students of the Arts batch, Bcom and Science. The students have to directly apply for scholarships if they need.

There are many extra- curricular activities in the college like the NSS and the NCC. There NSS students are taken for many enjoyable field trips and all. Specifically, science students have labs which is interesting. The sports wing is very strong especially in basketball and cricket. For basketball team, the college recruit best players from all over Kerala.

The alumni network is so much inspiring for the young students like me. There are many movie actors graduated from the college, Many politicians, Sportsperson etc. By taking their successful career, the students now are very fortunate to be here.

The faculty, as far as I am concerned, is doing a nice job with so many bright teachers. They assist us for any help that are needed if we have troubles in understanding. The principal and other faculty members like the bursar of the college unfortunately banned the College Union unexpectedly.
