Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has subjects that are most relevant to the main course. All of them train students from the basic to intermediate level. But if the question arises like "does it prepare you for real world applications?" The answer is definitely not. Because we have to learn from external sources for preparing us for real world applications
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not directly offered by the college. We have to attend it off campus and submit the certificates. But project management and industrial visits are directed by the college. They form teams and make us submit atleast one project per semester.
Placement Experience
I am currently studying in second year. The students from third and final years are eligible for placements and attending placement drives. The highest package in my college is 27 LPA and the average package is 4-7 LPA depending on the company. Mostly 80% of the students are getting placed in any company. My plan is to pursue higher studies in abroad after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average fee for my course is Rs.97,400 per year. If we give first graduate certificate they will deduct Rs.25000 in the total fees and we will have to pay Rs.72,400. The above said is applicable only for government quota. If we come in management the fees is 1,67,400 per year with 4-5 lakhs donation
Campus Life
Mostly events will be conducted every week by any club or department association throughout the year except for the exam dates. Cultural festivals will be celebrated twice a year not more than that. All festivals will be celebrated with traditional outfits or outfits that match the theme. Sports and extracurricular activities are highly encouraged by the management.
Admission
I applied for bsc agriculture in tnau and got a seat in dhanalakshmi srinivasan agriculture college. But it was very far from my home so I chose Dr. Mahalingam college of engineering and technology in tnea counselling. I got GQ for 165.5 cutoff in this college. A average cutoff of 160 is enough for choosing this college in tnea counselling.
Faculty
The faculties we have are sufficient for the students present in the college. Each of them has their own trait. Some of them deliver their thoughts clearly while some of them don't even take classes they just come to the class, pass their time and go off. Some staffs are really very friendly while some of them show arrogant attitude.
