JUET Guna college life!!

The course curriculum is very vast and great it is very relevant and is taken similar from the IITs and NITs. Though the curriculum does not prepare very well for the real life but it aids in developing mental skills that help in real world. The teaching methods in our college can be improved by if the teachers give time to students to use their laptops and code with them rather than explaining the code on a white board or slides. The exams are too hectic as there are 3 exams per semester which breaks ur daily coding consistency though they are not very hard.

Internship opportunities are provided through various companies like Infosys and others. Summer internship is mandatory here after the 6th semester otherwise you don't get a degree here. So the internship area is sorted here.

From semester 7 students becomes eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit here as mercarti, testbook, Amazon, zs associates nd mass recruiters like Infosys and TCS . Highest package last year was 30 lpa nd the average package was around 5.5-6 lpa. About 60-70% students get placed here. My plans after getting the degree is to do masters.

Course fees of our college is 115000rs per semester and the hostel fees is 80000rs per semester. Scholarships are provided to students with very low annual income by Cummins scholarship scheme! The fees increases by 10% for every incoming new freshers and it remains the same throughout the length of your program.

Campus Life is really good except for the outside college life because our college is situated outside the range of good cities. There are various technical and social clubs present in our college and the technical fest here is called tachyon. Sports and cultural activities are just ok because there is almost no scope for sports you can just play for fun. The library is also not very big and good.

Every hostel room has 3 compartments which are decent is size and in 1 compartment 1 student live making 3 students in 2 room. Duct is also present in each room which is ok for Summers. The wifi here provides 3 gb of net daily. Mess meal here is quite good as compared to other colleges. Pg here is not good as there is not good locality to live outside the campus.

I applied to vit amravati and I got cse in category 1 as my rank was 33k but it was very far from my home. So the second best option was this as I only got 86%ile in jee. This college has great coding atmosphere and is also a branch of Jaypee Noida which is a very great college! The eligibility criteria of our college is by jee or 12th board marks! The cutoff is quite low here.

The faculty to student ratio will be 1:30 most of the faculty here is very approachable they teach the students even on their free time which is very great. Some great teachers in our college are Pankaj Dumka sir and Amit Rathi sir. There are 3 exams per semester and they are not very tough!
