Remarks

Management is very supportive as well as principal College infrastructure may be improved a bit. Teachers are good please retain them.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course as per VTU and the university maintains good standards and quality subjects. College has a string R&D Team rub by Dr. Narayan. College has been granted many research proposals also under VGST, KSCST and DST. College has a very strong Embedded and Robotics Division also. Recently TI sponsored many projects for college

Placement Experience

Placements are quiet good in the college. Mr. Amogha the Placement Officer has done a wonderful job in getting the placements to a very high level in the college. After his joining we have had good companies like Hp, IBM, EMC.

College Events

College hosts all India level Technical Paper for both Staff and Students in various streams. Also college hosts a student level tech fest within the state. College day and sports day are celebrated grandly. Hostel both boys and girls celebrate hostel days.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit students are given a fee waiver of Rs. 10000 per annum. Also students who some first, second or third in class are give cash incentives.

Hostel facility is decent. Food in mess is very good quality and hygenic. No usage of Soda or other preservative/colours. Food is served 4 times a day BF, Lunch, Snack & Dinner3 sharing rooms with 24hour power and morning/evenings hot water. Hostel could

College has majority girls only its almost 60:40 Girls:Boys. As mentioned Robotics & Embedded Labs are very good in this college and students have won prizes competing with IIT's, Extracurricular activities are given good importance here along with studies.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Well my subjects are right now, physics, pop(c), java,IME (introduction to mechanical engineering), mathamatics. Well curriculum is great as we got more programming languages and some of the moderate difficulty i would say. And also better exam conduction .
