Course Curriculum Overview
My will to learn about business and its functioning made me choose this course and accordingly I'm being taught about the same. The curriculum builds a foundation about business. Students get theoretical knowledge about the same. The teachers also take PDP lectures which helps students to improve their communication skills and train them for placement interviews also. My course is according to old education policy. However, now the current batches are taught according to the syllabus of new education policy. The teaching style can be more interactive and practical. Exams are conducted twice in a year and between that sessional examinations are also conducted twice before the final semester examinations.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that come for internships are mostly local companies and the roles offered includes sales executive, admission counsellor, HR Intern etc Currently the students of my batch were working with CAREER BUDDY CLUB in GURU NANAK COLLEGE as admission counsellors earning a stipend of Rs. 15000 per month. The work was to call students and tell them about the colleges and getting them registered in the respective colleges.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements after 4th semester. There are numerous companies that visit the college every year and numerous offers are made. For example- Bajaj finserv , Mahindra , Tata motors , Prodesk IT etc. The highest package offered till now is 6.5 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. Profiles offered are sales executive, HR executive, assistant manager. Percentage of students getting placements is 80% I want to do further studies after getting this degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The year wise fees amount that I'm paying currently is Rs. 35000 and Rs. 12000 transportation charges. So the total is Rs. 47000 per year after deducting scholarship amount. Originally the tution fees was Rs. 38000 excluding transportation and examination charges. It has now been increased because of NAAC accreditation and other facilities. The admission fees is Rs. 5000 which includes uniform charges as well. No other amount is paid except this. Students are offered scholarship based on merit. SC , ST students get the benefits of extra scholarship.
Campus Life
SRIJAN is the name of annual fest in our college. It is for two days. On day one , it is technical fest where we play technical games , exhibitions are conducted and on day is the celebrity night where in afternoon we are awarded with annual prizes and the day is ended with celebrity performance. There are variety of books , journals and magazines available in the library as per the curriculum. Even the competitive exam books are also available for extra studies. The classes are well furnished. There are labs , smart classes , white boards and proper ventilation in the class. Sports and extracurricular activities are equally important in the college. Every year , there is 3 days sports fest in the college to encourage students to be physically fit as well. Also , there are various clubs such as literary club , management club , dance club etc that makes the social life of students more interactive. Students get more time to spend with each other and know each other.
Admission
I researched about a lot of colleges but I didn't really apply for any of them. I chose this college over others because the location of college is not very far from my house so I can do daily up down. Also , the course is financially economical as compared to other colleges. The atmosphere is better than other colleges. For admission, one has to apply for the college via forming filling or talking to the admission counsellor. The admission counsellor will tell the details about the college and further procedure. One should get above 60% marks in class 12th to get admission. Any other exam is not required for admission. My overall admission experience was also great.
Faculty
The relationship between faculty and students is very cooperative and friendly. They try to teach in the best possible manner so that students understand the concept clearly. Faculties can be connected anytime whenever in need. They're there for the students all the time. Mr. Puneet Garg ( HOD of Management Dept. ) , Mr. Naveen Singh ( lecturer) , Mrs. Shivani Chaudhary ( class coordinator) are the best teachers. They are very cooperative, motivating and cheerleaders. There is no certain teacher that I don't like. Everyone to me is very understanding and caring. In my batch , there are 5 subject exams every semester. They are quite easy to attempt. Students rarely fail in the exams. The course curriculum is relevant to the basics of business administration and builds a foundation for MBA aspirants also
