Review on Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology

Well updated curriculum, always up-to-date with the newest tech in the industry, in all branches they teach. Difficulty is medium, daily learning will help to easily score marks in exams. Syllabus is made with input from industry's top professionals.

Companies such as Cochin Shipyard, ISRO and Geojit allow interns from RSET. Stipend is usually not provided. Projects vary from on-hand work to just experiencing the industry. Internships start from 2nd year onwards.

Students are eligible for placements from 7th semester. Around 150 companies visit every year. Average package is 3.5-4 lpa, highest package is usually around 15lpa. 60% of students get placed, others go for higher studies or off-campus placement.

Rs 90,000 per year including all fees. Scholarships available on merit basis or reservation basis. Fees are same for everyone in the general category. Defence personnel scholarship can be availed if eligible for it.

Multiple professional bodies for all branches. 2 tech fests usually held biannually. Plethora of books available in the library, about both education and literature or self-help. Sports is given importance with fields and grounds open to students after college. Dance and Music clubs available for students interested in those.

Other colleges applied to: St Josephs College of Engineering and Technology. Rajagiri was the better choice, because of better faculty, close proximity to industry and overall location and also placements for students after completion of course.

2 internal exams and 1 final exams per semester. Teachers are well-qualified, but maybe strict. All of them are approachable about educational matters. All faculty put their best into teaching the students.

Interview held online. Was asked basic questions about my interest in this course and other such details. Basic 10th-12th grade textbook knowledge is enough to pass the interview. Confidence is important.
