Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is well-structured and covers fundamental concepts relevant to the field. It influenced my decision due to its emphasis on practical applications and hands-on projects, which are crucial for real-world problem-solving. It effectively prepares students for both job markets and higher studies. However, there could be improvements in integrating more industry-relevant case studies and updating the content to keep pace with the latest trends. The exam schedule is balanced, but some exams are quite challenging, requiring consistent effort throughout the semester

Fees and Financial Aid

300000/year with 0 scholarship and i scored 80 marks in GAT exam and infrastructure was good and also the faculty have a best degree from Abroad. I heard the news about placement are very few and the highest LPA also was not good recent highest package is 48 only.

Campus Life

3

My experience with campus life has been enriching and engaging. The college organizes annual cultural and technical fests, such as 'TechFest' and 'Cultura,' typically held in January and October, respectively. The library is well-stocked with a variety of books and journals, making resources easily accessible. The classrooms are equipped with modern facilities like smart boards and projectors, ensuring an effective learning environment. A wide range of sports and extracurricular activities are available, including cricket, basketball, and drama clubs. Student-run clubs like the Robotics Club and Literary Society provide great opportunities for socializing and skill-building, making the campus vibrant and inclusive and that's it

Hostel Facilities

3

It's better when compared to the pg which are in the local and the best part is food and they are maintaining a healthy meal and also they contains lot of carbs. I pay about one lakh four thousand rupees and the I took four bed sharing this was good and affordable price.

Admission

I chose this college because of its strong reputation for quality education, experienced faculty, and well-equipped labs, which were lacking in some of the other options I applied for. I also considered factors like campus placement opportunities and alumni network, which made this college stand out. While I did receive admissions from a few other institutions, the competitive environment and modern facilities here were more aligned with my career goals. The admission process was smooth and transparent, involving an entrance exam followed by counseling based on merit. The cutoffs were fair, making it possible for dedicated students to secure a spot.

Faculty

4

There are best Faculty with a best degree from abroad and also there are mid term exams and also semister exams and then they mark the mid term exams for 30 marks and semister is for 70 marks. Then they will give the grade according to the highest scored among the class.

Placement Experience:

At BMSIT, students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. A good number of companies visit the campus every year, including Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Cisco, Amazon, and Dell, among others. The highest package in recent years has gone above ?30 LPA, while the average package usually stays around ?6–7 LPA for CSE students. Around 80% of students get placed, mostly in roles like software development, web development, data science, and AI/ML engineering. Personally, after completing my degree, I plan to sit for campus placements and aim for a role in software development. I also want to continue upskilling in advanced areas like full-stack and AI to grow my career further.

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .
