Course Curriculum Overview

4

Personally I feel this course is very interesting and it helps in gaining a lot of clinical knowledge. As once we complete the graduation we can deal with the patients. It helps the people and also our family. I think it also helps me to take care of my health and family by knowing about the health system. I want to different surgical approaches and others about the clinical system. I aspire to treat patients with great sense of duty

Fees and Financial Aid

My course duration is 5 and half years where 1 year is intended for internship and we get paid for it. While in the remaining 4 years we have to pay the fees. For joining in the first year we have to pay 10,000 rupees for counselling and again 15,000 rupees for joining and admission letter. After that we have to pay another 15,000 rupees for hostel. Later on every year we have to pay 20000 for the academic fees. Hostel fees , electricity bills and food expenses are separate. They sum upto 60,000 a year . For examinations every year we have to pay 2000 every year. We have to purchase books and other stationary required for the studies with our money, which about constitutes 15000 rupees. A total of 1,20,000 approximately is required for an year for all the expenses

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very well and entertaining day by day. Every year student organisations conduct various sports activities and cultural activities. Different sports competitions are conducted and a sports day is celebrated. College day is also celebrated. There are different clubs which give rise to talents like dancing and singing. The clubs also include waste from art, normal paintings and other art activities. There are different social groups for journals , research activities. A reasearch program is also conducted every year to develop the skills of the students.

Admission

There will be a counselling process for admission in our college .Usually we have to write a exam conducted by government which is NEET . Based on the marks we got in the exam , we can select different colleges that are applicable with our marks I got the marks which are eligible to join in this college The cut off for this college is based on different aspects like caste. As per our caste the cut off is 570 and. I got 605. I joined this college because it is the second top Government medical college in the state.

Faculty

5

The faculty are actually good. There are 250 students for each class. But there are different departments like surgery, medicine etc in the college. Each department consists of about 15 faculty members. They have a great clinical knowledge. I really like Head of department of Pediatrics as she is a very good faculty with great knowledge and helps us to understand everything . There are no faculty I don't like. Every year there will be final exams . There will be three internal examinations for a year . The exams are actually difficult because it covers vast syllabus and we should through with the subjects. Most of the batch actually fails in the internal examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based. I chose this course cause of my sister., she is also studying in our college. There is a bit of spoon feeding here. But the person who studies on their interest only gets good marks. The timings for the exams are not so bad but are difficult to complete the given syllabus in time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

Great college to Study, Bad College for Enjoying. It will come good as it is still a budding college. Soon, playgrounds will be there and lot of sports from our college will come up. But academically, this is one of the top places to be. You may think it maybe a new college, so it wouldn't be great. But, the academics are top class and you would be happy enough to come here for it.
