Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum covers are a broad range of topics but as for real world relevancy, the curriculum feels outdated, especially for branches like computer science. There tends to be a gap between what's taught to us and what is required from us in the industry. Exams are of moderate difficulty and tend to focus more towards theory.
Placement Experience
Placements at Atria are on going at the moment, students are eligible for campus placement towards the end of their 6th semester. So far companies like Hewlett Packard Enterprises and Accenture have come, with packages ranking from 4.5 to 7.5LPA so far, and we are expecting Amazon soon.
Fees and Financial Aid
I came through management so i had to pay Rs.2,30,000 in the first year, followed by Rs.2,06,748 in the next three years. I believe if you come on merit, initially you pay Rs.2,00,000 in the first year, followed by Rs.1,81,748 in the next three years. Mind you, these are 2021 numbers.
Campus Life
Campus life at Atria is pretty lively, we tend to have technicaal festivals and hackathons often. The libraries are pretty decent, should cover everything you'll need. Events like Cicada and Saptharang happen annually.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fascility provided offers a triple sharing room, equipped with a bed, cupboard, and a study table each with an attached bathroom. A fast wifi is available 24/7. However, the quality of meals are'nt that good. It is definitely better than the PGs nearby.
Admission
I happen to chose Atria due to its central location in Bangalore and affliation with VTU(Visvesvaraya Technological University), which is a quite good university to be affliated under considering their nirf rankings.
Faculty
Well as previously mentioned, faculties are approachableand supportive. They help and guide us throughout our course, especially with our projects. As for the curriculum, our course structure is provided by VTU which feels very outdated at times, they also tend to ask us to take up mandatory subjects and activities which are of no use what so ever. There are are a total of three internal assesments for theory, two for practical and one each for external assesment.
