AISSMS College of HMCT

Overall college is very good. There is no ragging entertained in our college. For strict prohibitions of ragging, there is an anti-ragging commettiee. There is also women's greivance cell in the college. College is strict about attendance.

The course is very good for learning various skills. Skills in all the departments are improved in this course. There are internal as well as external exams for this course. Theory as well as practical exams are there.

College does provide internship. We can do the training in India as well as abroad. It is mandatory in the course that the students need to do the industrial training of 20 weeks in his 5th Semester.

There are various events which are celebrated in our college. The most popular and nationally celebrated event is "Atithya". It is held in February. It is a national level event where colleges from all over India can participate. This year, in 2019 an international team from Ireland also particiapted for the same..!!

Fee structure may change every year. Fees for open category are expensive. Fees are inclusive of uniforms and the books. Uniforms and the books are provided by the college. Also, tool kit is provided for food production practicals in first year.

There are some scholarship facilities for the backward class people as well as for defence sector and EBC. Loan facilities are also available in the college. As I am open category student, I have not applied for any scholarship, so I don't know much about it.

College encourages to participate in hospitality competitions and also guidelines for the same are provided by the faculties. But other than hospitality competitions, less participation in other inter college competitions. College organizes events, sports week etc. Assemblies are done at the end of the month and students are appreciated for the work they have done in the past month.

Yes, seniors are helpful. Events are also organised for the college alumni. And alumni can participate in the same. There can be theme dinners, lunches etc. Or even college almuni can share there experience in front of the present students.

Faculty is very good. All the faculties help in any doubt and learning and are helpful. E-learing technologies are used most of the times. Such as PowerPoint presentation etc. Also, practical knowledge is given importance more.
