The Journey from being a Average Student to become a professional Hotelier.

The Curriculum is based Fully over the hospitallity industry and the main things required to be the best in the industry. The things being teached are Fully real world applicable and will be used through out the industry. The timing for the exams are ok and for 1 hourexam you have to give double exam in single day.In the end semester exam you have single exam in a day of about 3 hours.

The Intership for the students is compulsory in the college. The companies who come with offer are mariott, Taj, Oberoi, Hyatt, ITC and many more. They offer stipend of 3-4k per month and it may differ in different companies asper their policies. The Students have to make a project of their daily occuring in the Hotel and have to submit the project after the IT is completed.

The Placement of IHM Pusa is very excellent and have a remarkable placement history. The Placement percentage is always above 97-98%. The End Semester student, which means the students from 3rd Year seat for the placement. The companies come to our college are mainly the most famous 5 star and 5 star deluxe company such as Taj Hotels, JW MARRIOT, ITC Group, Accor,The Oberoi, Hyatt, etc ; as well as retail company like Reliance, Eazy Dinner, and more. My Plan of getting the MT from the college in a well known company is my Target.

In IHM Pusa you have to pay the fees Semester wise. The 1st Semester fee contains: Admission fee:- 1600 NCHM JEE Fee(Enrollment and Parchment):- 3600 JNU FEE:- 10215 Tuition Fee:- 65100 NCHM Exam Fee :- 3000 Institutional Fee:- 5000 Continuous assessment/Grading/Exam Fee:- 1000 Caution Fee(Refundable) :- 8000 There is no consideration done for any category student. The fees for everyone is the same. There is no scholarship provided by the college for any student but you may apply for scholarship which can be provided to you by your state or your school.

There are many annual as well as Regional festivals occur in our college which includes Dandiya night, Diwali, Holi, Swanch Bharat abhiyan, Swachta Pakhwara and much more. The library is open to all during the college hours. Its closed in weekends and national holidays. The library is filled with every type of book regarding any cuisine of different sectors to know about the industry. There is a annual sports that occurs every year in our college in January or February. Our college have a badminton court, Volleyball Court, Basketball court, a Table Tennis Board and Carrom board to play in leisure time. There are many social groups called asavari, cynix, panchatava, abhivyakti, kaladhar and many more.

The Hostel rooms are categorised in 2 different types; 6 rooms with Air conditioning(AC) and 6 room with triple seater in each floor. In the Boys as well as girls hostel we have 4 floor including the ground floor. In the room you are provided with a bed, a cupboard, a table and chair and a Table lamp and a space above the chair to keep your essentials. The meal quality is very good and served in daily basis without any fail. Many times there is theme dinner organised during the festivals when the traditional dishes of the state is cooked with regarding to the festival. The locatity is called R-Block and it's a agricultural research government area. The nearest place to get PG or room for rent is Todapur or Patel Nagar.

Considering this college over other college is because it's the best college in respect to its placement and the teaching of the faculty. With this college I also choose IHM Mumbai and IHM Bangalore but I wanted to get IHM Pusa from long ago after giving the NCHM JEE exam because of the college having a good frame in the hospitallity industry and best teaching facilities and faculty. My Rank in NCHM JEE was good enough to get any other college in India but my main target was to get admission in IHM Pusa, New Delhi. The admission process in the college starts after the councelling of NCHM is completed and it mainly occurs in the last week of Month of July or First week of Month of August and with the admission process you have to opt for the hostel decision, wether you want or don't want the hostel.

The Faculty to Student relationship is very very friendly. The Faculty are very approachable and you can interact with them in personally and text them if required in urgent. Some of my favourite teachers are Chef Vineet, Chef Mamta, Pratyush Sir, Chef Sarthak. I have interacted with them personally and on that regards I can assure that no student can any difficulty in settling with the college or with the faculty. There are about 2 exams in each semester. A mid term exam and end semester exam. I recently gave the mid sem exam and it was very easy to score marks if you just attend the classes attentively and go through the notes given by the teachers just 1-2 week before exam. Its not that difficult for anyone to fail the exam.
