- The campus is green and is cool most of the time, providing a calm environment.
- The faculty is powerful in their respective subjects and have studied every topic in detail before teaching it to us.
- The library is an asset of this college, providing sufficient books and an environment to study peacefully.
Dislikes
- Teaching methods need to be improved. Faculty is not able to impart the knowledge perfectly which they have in them.
- Cocurricular activities and clubs need to be introduced for making students versatile in all aspects.
- As the campus is very huge, there are many canteens here offering varieties of food, however hygiene needs to be maintained.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum, specifically for history, correlates to the syllabus of history in upsc. Being a upsc aspirant, preparing for the college exams simultaneously makes me prepare for upsc as I will choose history as my optional.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid fees for my first semester which is rs 7,530 in total for bachelors of arts in history (hons.) It excludes tuition fee and it includes maintenance fund for university and faculty. It also includes library, facilities and services, academics, equipment maintenance, admission, and examination fees. However, faculty student's association fees were taken separately.
Campus Life
There are several festivities being celebrated here, faculty-wise and department-wise too. There are dj nights, garba nights, etc. Moreover, there are several academic and psychological sessions too, from the professionals. In history department, students are taken on annual picnic every year to historical places.
Admission
I wanted to choose a government college only as I was sure of giving upsc and didn't want to spend much money on graduation. I got admission in Lady Shri Ram college for women, Delhi University but because of my family's denial, I chose this college which is near to my home and even fees are minimal.
Faculty
Almost all the faculty members are well-versed in their respective subjects and use reliable sources to teach us but they need to be more interactive with students. In first year, there are 7 subjects in total considering the NEP. The exams take place semester wise. And here, mid-semester exams are considered as internals. No extra activity is given for internal marks.
