Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is fine but foxus is more on exams and cgpa. Wt we are studying is entirely different from the industry wants it is difficult yo develop our skill brcause of this. Hence we urge to give exposure to industry more

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 116000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for kcet students is 116000 and for management its 3-4lakhs . We get scholarship in the month of dev and jan. Some of the students pay their fees with it and some of the students money get credited to account

Campus Life

Good, friends make it better, we have a temple in college which is peaceful and a library where we get different book amd for every subject we have many books we can use and borrow for 15 days. Its helpful

Admission

This is a university and hence i heard that facility is good and faculty members are also good. Placement are fine upto the level and opportunities arer more and environment. We have freedom to go anytime to different places and calm ourselves

Faculty

Course structure we have 5 modules. We have mid sem and end sem. We have to study all the modules for exam and 50 marks for internal. Emd sem marks gets converted to 50 and marks will be alloted accordingly

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.

Alliance university review

The admission process was good as the college was selected by an entrance exam and also the interview process. The cut-off of the entrance exam changes every year. I got an offer letter from the college as I got selected by the interview process and entrance exam. Application forms can be found on the official website of Alliance University. There is a reservation for the ST and SC categories but I can't get it as I belong to another category. Application fees are 1100 and the application will be open anytime next year. College journey

Along with good things there are few bad issues happening in college. Our college was owned by 2 brothers. And both are fighting for the ownership of the college. There are goons entering college and troubling the whole college atmosphere. It has been a court case since 2 years and still not resolved. Huge problems r been faced by students regarding the exams and faculty. Every year the faculty is being changed by the brothers. And it's very difficult to concentrate on studies . We just hope the issue gets resolved and we can study in a better environment....Read More
