Remarks

Overall the college is totally good. There will not be a lot of exam pressure or anything. CIA test and model test will be conducted each semester. That will help us during our main semester exams. If you understand the subject and study well u will pass the exams easily. Any time the faculties will be available, they will help with the doubts about the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college is affiliated to university of madras, so it will follow the patterns and frameworks prescribed by the university. The exam pattern will be 75+25=100. 25 mark is for internal evaluation. So the 25 marks will be solely based on assignments, attendance percentage, ur behavior, and class participation and ur marks in the CIA exam and model exam. Rest 75 marks are university examination marks. One should get at least 30 marks out of 75 to clear the paper in UG level. In PG level it will be around 38 I guess

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement cell is good on the whole. Banking sectors like IDBI and IDBI life insurance come for campus drive.. Other MNC's such as Sutherland, Nittany, Redington Gulf, ACT fibernet, Capgemini, etc came for campus drive and many students got selected in various positions. For my course, I have not come across any internship. But for some UG courses and PG courses, the college might assign internships based on their major

College Events

3

There will be many intercollegiate and intra collegiate symposiums organized by the college. There will be a lot of guest lectures conducted, many industries oriented people lecture their experiences and provide ample guidelines and help in various measures. Cultural will be conducted once a year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is very moderate. As all the classes of people study in this college, the fees are reasonable. For B.com course I have paid a fee of around 30,000 approx per year. After that university exam fees will be collected by the college. If you don't have any arrears, fees will be around 400-500.

Fees and Financial Aid

They will provide scholarship for SC students and as the college is a Muslim college, the Muslim students whose parent's annual income lies below 1L will be provided scholarship.

Campus Life

5

My college life at Mohamed sathak college is good. All nationality people will study here. Many foreign students opt for this college. There is no gender discrimination here, all will be treated equally. Labs are properly maintained. seminars will be conducted for many departments.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't have any senior students contact personally. But a stronger bond was there with our seniors when we were in college. They helped us in many ways

Admission

For my course, there is no entrance exam or anything. I got on to the college with my 12th marks. But I heard that for some courses like MBA if one wishes to choose management quota then they will conduct an entrance exam to ensure how well ur performance is.

Faculty

4

All the faculties are highly educated. Some of them are even Ph.D. holders. They will teach and illustrate how it works in all subjects. Mostly accounting and statistics faculties are fully dedicated to their subjects. They don't even try to miss a small part in their syllabus. Overall the faculties are totally supportive and try to bring out the good in each student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
