Course Curriculum Overview
As I already mentioned this curriculum is very worst they are having very old syllabus, which needs to be changed.. but staffs are very friendly to the students you can ask any doubt to them. They will definitely help you..
Fees and Financial Aid
In our college there is two shifts one is aided other is self finance. Aided fee is less compared to the self finance, for my program b. Com aided the total fee would 20-30k per annum fee. While self finance streams fee cost around 50k for each semester
Campus Life
The college has a separate building called MRF innovation park in which they provide many high tech facilities for the students. We can up skill ourselves but joining this innovative park. Its very useful for computer science students and some students why love to do tech stuffs
Hostel Facilities
In every hostel there are traditions, but what happens in the MCC hostel (where hostels are called “halls”) is nothing but open ragging disguised as tradition. From the very first year, seniors deliberately divide students into “followers” and “unfollowers,” creating a toxic system of control. Those labeled as followers are treated like unpaid laborers, forced to work for every event, buying items outside, decorating stages, running errands, and handling arrangements, while seniors sit and command them. This exploitation is shamelessly justified as “discipline building.” They even conduct meaningless sessions where students are forced to memorize useless facts about their hall, brainwashing them into defending their halls blindly, almost like caste-based fanaticism. Many students get trapped in this system and lose the ability to think independently. The harsh truth only becomes clear when students are about to graduate. I am in my third year, and I am already seeing the damage. Followers are strictly forced to wear a specific dress outside their rooms, and if they fail to comply, they are literally ragged without fear. This hostel environment is mentally exhausting, toxic, and destructive. If you come from a poor family and are serious about your future, career, and supporting your family after graduation, do not choose this hostel. It is only suitable for students who do not care about academics or long-term goals and just want to waste their time in the name of “college life.” Unnecessary events are conducted continuously, even during exams, proving that neither seniors nor management genuinely care about students’ education. From my three years of experience, I strongly warn students who want to study, grow, and succeed: avoid this hostel at all costs. While some students blindly claim these traditions improve skills like leadership or public speaking, the reality is that most of them end up struggling academically, regretting the time they wasted, and realizing
Admission
According to the nirf ranking these colleges has best Ranking compared to other colleges i applied, so only I opted for this college. But actually this doesn't satisfy my full expectations. It only suitable for arts students
Faculty
Most faculty were friendly to the students, only the management is the issue in this college. Still they are having ancient syllabus which is very old. They conduct 3 internals out of it top 2 was taken into consideration. Then they conduct external for 100 marks.
Night Life
The night life is very beautiful in Madras Christian college, the full campus surrounded by deers, porcupine and other animals, it was such a bless to live in such a campus in chennai. Mcc is the 2nd best college in terms of greeny campus next to IIT Madras.
