Dislikes

- Strict permissions for library. I have to attend classes even if I want to study in library.
- Mandatory attendance of 75%. This doesn't allow me any flexibility in studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college provides a divide and teach rules. Fro that college provides three batches for skills, provides, and mock interviews respectively. This made me interested in taking the course. The curriculum is pretty good as its a project-based learning and opportunities in internships make it practical. More industry relevant courses and research opportunities would be better. Especially the research opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fees is 103000 p.a. Additional 8500 is collected by the college. The other batchmates also pay the same academic fees. I have no scholarships currently. But other students do have based on the caste. Merit students too get scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus has a huge ground for cultural events and a huge auditorium for technical events like hackathons. College has various clubs for various activities like for dance, singing, tech, organisation and public relation clubs. Library resources are vast. Books are well-stocked amd updated from time to time with updated versions. Apart from academic books library also has various other books and magazines too for the students.
Admission
The colleges I applied to: 1.CBIT - known for its placements opportunities. 2.VNR - has good sports opportunities. 3. Vasavi - known for its academic curriculum. The reason why i chose this college over the above colleges is the balance between extra curricular activities and academic activities. Additional batches for special preparation of real world problems is also one more reason.
Faculty
At my college, the faculty to student ratio is generally decent around 1:20 or so. We do get a lot of attention, especially during tutorials and lab sessions. Especially lab sessions has more faculties to provide us assistance with the apparatus. The curriculum is pretty standard. We have a mix of core subjects and electives. Every sem is a combination of labs, lectures, and projects. The exams are also not so impossible, but you do need to study regularly to stay on track. About the relevance of curriculum the courses are bit hit or miss. Some subjects are in industrial trends but some are not as the syllabus is not updated.
