Course Curriculum Overview
The business management aspect is very good in terms of relevance we get to know about a lot of real time business examples and get to study them with our teachers and also learn the case studies and what all the pros and cons in them which gives us a very clear understanding of the subject. We also get to know a lot of digital marketing which is very in nowadays and also we got to have a practical application of digital marketing by making our website and publishing it in the Google Network and also making a lot of social media profiles and optimising them according to the business and managing them also. Exams happen after every four weeks MSTs exams are quite easy but the final exam is quite difficult in terms of checking and also the question paper.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after 5th semester. As of now no companies have visited enough but three students of her batch have been placed for 3.75 lpa in a HR position role in a company. Chandigarh university claims to have more than 90% of placements but I dont think that metric is true whether or less companies coming from batch loads in business administrations in Chandigarh University.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
the per semester fee structure I pay is 65000/-, 130000/- yearly. 2500/- examination fees compulsary every semester that we have to pay with the fees. bcom is 122000/- yearly with 2500/- per semester compulsary examination fees. Scholarship is on two basis 1. 10th and 12th persentage merit basis 2. cucet exam score based it ranges from 100% the 50% the 20% then 10% accordin to the scores the scholarship exam happens in two phases where the percentages are higher in the first phase and lower in the second phase if you get the admission a little later. To maintain the scholarship student needs to have 7.5 cgpa or higher in every semester with no detained subjects ( more the 75% attendance in every subject) and no backlogs.
Campus Life
There are lot of festivals that are held in Chandigarh University there is a fest every now and then the most recent one is Tashan nights that happens every semester. the fresher Party goes on for three days wherein many in his celebrities and singers come for the concert and in the morning there are stalls put up by students and competitions held modelling sinking dancing etc There are lot of sports in extracurricular activities of the town campus and lot of good scholarship also given to students who get a reward or the medal for the universities. There are lot of clubs in Chandigarh University students can take part in. the libraries are very beautifully constructed and students can enjoy spending their time there and study
Hostel Facilities
So there are two seater or three seater rooms in hostels but I got the two seater room. The interior of the Rome is ok. The meal are provided three times a day and they are quite good in starting but they get progressively worse as we go to complete our year I got food poisoning twice in a year from the hostel food the hostel is not worth it for the money that they ask for that is 1,00,000. After first year I took an NOC from my hostel and bought her rented flat with my friends in the nearby society there are a lot of societies where students can get flats for pgs they are near Chandigarh University approximately 21minute drives from the flat to the university
Admission
I applied to mit Pune and ups Dehradun I got accepted to both of them but the course I wanted to study Chandigarh University had it I did not get any rejections from any colleges I applied to then mission process of Chandigarh University was quite simple I had to fill in the form and then I got a call from the university then to apply for the cuc exam where I got a good score and I got a 20% scholarship because I was quite late in getting admitted to. the main reason I applied to Chandigarh University OR I got into it was that it took late admission because I was very late in my admissions the only Chandigarh University was the university that was taking it admissions at that time. 60% is the eligibility criteria.
Faculty
Faculties are really nice and approachable. some are a little strict but otherwise most of them are very approachable and kind to students. They provide regular notes to students and regular ppts to study and give out important questions for every exam and guide student at every step. The faculties I liked were Miss Heena Nazir she is very kind towards all the students she provides every little knowledge that she has of the subject she teached us digital marketing. She also helps us with real world knowledge because she herself has corporate experience of 12 year digital marketing field. There are three exams in total in every semester 2 are msts and one is the final end semester exam the two msts contain 25% weightage each whereas 50% weightage is of the final end sinister and rest of that is for the co curriculars and the courses we did and the assignment marks or the viva
