Course Curriculum Overview
b.pharma degree is for medicines. My mother is a healthcare professional which made me interested in this course and I'm studying here with every types of facilities they providing. There could be skill development classes for extra curriculum activities like not everyone can get a job after completing graduation so they can earn something to do well in there life so these things needs to get importance.
Placement Experience
Placements are done from 7th semester. There are lot of pharma companies like Mcleods, Cipla, Sun Pharma, these companies visit and a lot of students got placed...the average package is 2LPA at first in the industries. There's production department and QA department where our students get placed. Like 35% of a batch get placed in the companies. I'm thinking about joining in a company as a MR. But my dream is to be a hospital pharmacist. The opportunities are low but I'll definitely try for that.
Fees and Financial Aid
We pay 47,500 per semester. We have 8 semesters total. Tution fees is 40000 and others there is caution money 10000, 5000 for development and if you have govt quota you don't have to pay 40000. There's Swami Vivekananda scholarship for those who score 60% in every semester....they get 60,000 per year. There's no option as per category. The result in the WBJEE is important for your fees. If you score well, you don't have to pay 40,000.
Campus Life
Our college organize College fest who's name gets changed every year, it mainly happens during april-june. In January the sports competition gets started in our college. There's "Reminisce" the farewell party occurs in June also. Teacher's day is celebrated and 15th August is also celebrated in our campus. There's no club yet, as a guitarist in our college I tried to create it but somehow it didn't work out. The sports competition is well enough and we perform dances, dramas, songs during fest.
Hostel Facilities
There's no hostel provided by college... there's a private hostel where you get admitted from the college...they tied up with the college. The fees is 9,500 per semester. We get good washrooms, wi-fi facility, 24 hours water supply, electricity, 4 beds in a room, table, chair. The meal isn't that good so there's hotels nearby, u can order food from there. The registration is done from the college. U can talk to the officials of the college they'll just contact with the Hostel warden and you'll get admitted. This is near Gandhinagar.
Admission
I appeared in WBJEE and in counselling I got agricultural engineering in JIS Kalyani....but I'm not that strong in math and my aim was pharmacy so I appeared in 2nd counselling and got this college. I didn't heard before about this college. Then I came here and then I had to fill the forms and gave my HS results with the WBJEE result there attached and we had to pay 67,500 there...which includes my semester fees. Cutoffs got changed right now, just score average marks , you can get this college.
Faculty
There are very good faculty members...they always helps us a lot, we can call them if we face any problems whenever we want. They are very helpful. There ain't a lot of students who fail... just a few like 5-7 students...after our batch there are 100 students in every class so there maximum 20 students fail to clear the exams. The course curriculum is very relevant. It's 4yr course and there are 2 semesters in every year. There are 2 internal exam of 30 marks and then they calculate the average as 15+15 and then they do the average in 25, the practical exam total in internal is 40 marks which is also calculated average and then the semester exams total marks is 75 in theory, so 25+75 = 100.
Other Applied Colleges
JIS Institute of Technology | agricultural Engineering
I don't have interest in engineering
