- Excellent infrastructure - State of the art facilities includes centralised air conditioned LTs, laboratories, library etc.
- Neat & clean campus having separate boys & girls hostel ( G + 15 floors ) with single occupancy rooms.
Dislikes
- Since there is only one ground, it can be difficult for everyone to play other games at same time.
- Hostel canteen is closes at 10 p.m. so you have to depend on online platforms for night cravings.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is designed by the National medical commision (NMC). Competency based medical education (cbme) prepares you well for the real world challanges. Exams are held to asses the students on regular basis.
Internships Opportunities
Mandatory rotatory internship for a period of 1 year after completion of final year MBBS. Interns are provided monthly stipend which is equal to that given in all the central institutes. Interns are provides accommodation in the campus itself.
Placement Experience
After completing the final year MBBS, students are required to undergo a year of mandatory rotatory internship. After the completion of internship, ESIC provide employment under bond criteria for 1 year as Junior Residents ( Non - academic) in various ESIC hospitals & ESIC medical colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Tution fee per year is Rs. 24000 for ESIC ip quota candidates & Rs. 100000 for AIQ/SQ candidates. Hostel fee is Rs. 10000 per year Other chargers includes caution money Rs. 5000 Hostel & Mess security Rs. 10000 (single time)
Campus Life
Annual fest is Called SURGE which is organised every year in the months of Oct/nov. Central library has vast numbers of books and journals. Class rooms are fully air conditioned with audio visual facilities . Campus life is also good.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is inside the campus. There is separate hostel for Boys & girls (G + 15 floors each) First year students reside separate hostel. Mess facility is common for boys & girls. Every student is allowed a single room.
Admission
Since, it is a central government institute it has a lot of academic & non academic perks including internship stipend which is equal to AIIMS. Admission is through NEET UG exam for AIQ/SQ/IP Quota. Cutoff is relatively high for AIQ candidates since the seats are less.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is very good as compared to other medical colleges. Facilities are very much approachable. There are internal assesments after every 2-3 months followed by the university exams at the end of academic year.
