Dislikes
- The class schedule can get a little hectic for the first few months as it is quite a bit to handle all together.
- Long walks to get anywhere! The campus is quite large and its difficult to get around if you're low on time.
- The location of the college does not have the best range or mobile connectivity for certain network providers and many grocery apps don't deliver to the campus as it is quite far from central bangalore.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very up-to-date as to what managers in this generation requires. They provide us with excel, light programming and AI experience to make us experienced with latest technology. The curriculum has more of a practical apporach than theoratical, as it teaches us more through real life situations in a corporate rather than textbook learning. The internships opportunities provided each year ensure that you're ready to work after your course is over. An area of improvement for the course would be its rigour, starting off it might be too difficult for students to get used to. They might feel a bit of pressure. The frequency of exams is well timed out and students get enough time before each exam to relax as well as prepare for it.

Admission
a few colleges i applied to were christ univeristy bangalore, Narsee Monjee Institue of Management sciences Mumbai, St.xaviers college Mumbai, Jain university Bangalore. All bba/bcom courses. I got accepted to all of them through various entrance tests and personal interviews. The reason i chose TAPMI over all of these was the course structure and updated subjects they teach. Additionally the univerisity experience with multiple events and committees seemed much more enganging and interactive than other colleges. The admission process for TAPMI bangalore starts with eligibility criteira of 12th grade marks. you need an aggregate of more than 60% in your 12th grade for cbse board, other than that you also need to write an entrance test. The entrance tests options were IPMAT,JIPMAT, SATs, MET (manipal entrance test), CLAT, JEE. Exam most preferred by students were MET, SAT and IPMAT. This is followed by personal interviews and micro presentation aftet which you receive your admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:60 for a batch of 300 students overrall. The faculty is extremely understanding and great mentors. they have years of experience under their belt. As for approachability, they're very open to questions in and out of class timings and their doors are always open to us. Throughout the semester there is one quiz, one mid-sem exam and one end-sem/ project (depending on the subject). The quizes are not difficult they help you stay up to date with what you're learning. Both the other exams are quite tough but the college makes sure to not put too much pressure on the students. The course curriculum is always being updated and they make changes to it according to what we require and will require in the future as managers and entrepreneurs.
Interview Experience
After the entrance test you get selected for personal interview and micro-presentation. Before which you have to submit your SOP ( statement of purpose) which contains a small intriduction, your past academic performance, why you opted for this college, your future plans etc.For the personal interview part they asked questions about yourself (self introduction), strengths and weaknesses and they go over your SOP. Micro-presentation is where they will give you random topic for which you get two mintues to prepare for and you have to speak for 90 seconds. the topic i got was "how instagram can teach demand and supply better than textbooks". Basically you have to form an understanding of the topic and say a few points about it. The university site gives you an overview of possible topics that can be asked so that you know what you expect a little. Preparation for these rounds can be done through revising your SOP, keeping a few micro presentation topics in mind and staying calm.
Other Applied Colleges
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies - [NMIMS Deemed to be University] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]
The course fees were high but i felt like the college wasn't providing as much for that much fees. I was able to find better facilities for that same price at other colleges.
