Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The bachelors of dental surgery is a vast stream and is finding its way in many other aspects of healthcare and even cosmetology. It hold great amount of scope if the skill that is being taught to you in secured religiously. It grabs you hefty amount of money, based on your skillZ

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college has a compulsory internship program for its students. The internship is of one year. There are various activities for the interns such as assisting in surgeries, conferences, CDE programs, events etc. One thing I felt should be changed is the stipedn that is 3750/month and it is very less

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is yearly and it is ?1,65,000 with 10% increment every year for the duration of 4 years course. Security fees is 30,000 Hostel fees is 90,000/year for regular hostels and 3,30,000 for the hostel with centralised AC, inbuilts geysers, basically the luxury hostels. If someone wants to have an AC in their room, the the appliance will be yours and the charges will be additional 40,000 per head for each room. The examination fees keeps changing and it was 86000 when I paid the last time The university has various hidden charges The course is costly in terms of equipments. The university provides no scholarship

Campus Life

2.5

The infrastructure is average, i think every college has some issues with infrastructure. Coming to the social life, it is dead to be honest, the rules are strict for girls regarding in and out timings, it feels as if its a boarding school and not a college. Discipline is of prime importance for the administrators

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is fine and affordable, the mess food is good and homely, besides occasional boredom, the hostel has every facility, the rooms are spacious, water supply is fine, security is up to the mark and there are various facilities like 24x7 air conditioned reading rooms for children to study in their flexible timitngs. One drawback that I felt personally was the charges for the air conditioner. It should be metric, according to the units used.

Admission

The college has a very good curriculum and mature of teaching, it tries to be better every day in terms of its way of teaching and giving its students exposure reagrding every aspect of the stream. Be it conferences, conventional meetings, clinical develpment programs. It is rising to hold a unique form of teaching which engages students and encgourages their interest in the stream

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is mixed, based on their behaviour, sometimes cooperative and sometimes really strict. Exams are never ending and anyone who gets into the course will get tired of exams. The final exams are yearly and are of average difficulty, marking is okay

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do this degree since I was in 12th class. I wanted to be a doctor either by doing BDS or MBBS. This curriculum of a degree prepares well for the real words so that we can start our own practice, but you have to be willing to learn if you do not learn in your college properly. Then you might have to learn from outside, but it prepares you well for the real life. The exams are held once at the end of every year and the difficulty level of exams is moderate to high, so you have to study very seriously if you want to pass with good marks After the theory exams, they take the practical exams and there is equal mark distribution between theory and practical, and you have to obtain 50% marks for passing

The B.D.S alone in itself is not that fruitful due to surge of dentists in India. Although, if one can set private clinic and can run it it's a wonderful career. Certain basic things are limited for MDS students although they can be tought to the BDS students too.
