Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is a totally new experience in one's bds life. You deal with patients, take their case histories and treat them. Being an intern is a very responsible job although doctors are always there to help us along. No stipend is given in private detal colleges.

For Govt quota : 1,85,000 is the fees per year for 4 years with 10% increaee every year. Computer fees is 20,000 Lab fees is 10,000 No other hidden fee charges are there. Thee fee structure is very reasonable as these are goverment quota charges. For Management quota : 3,60,000/- per year for 4 years with 10% hike every year. Computer lab fee and lab fee are the same as mentioned above.

Campus Life

4

2-3 eventa are held every year in the college like Freshers, Sports meet and Holi festival. The college environment is very fun and friendly. The college library provides you all the required books for your course and also if you need other references. All the precious year question papers are available in the library itself.

Admission

I personally never opted for any other college than Luxmi Bai Dental Hospital and College. There are certain reasons for that. I always knew from my friends that the faculty here is very helpful. I liked the infrastructure here and the overall environment is very friendly. Also, the main part is learning clinical skills. Due to high patient in flow in this college, it helped me alot in developing my clinical skill.

Faculty

There are plenty doctors for our help, so we don't have to worry a bit about the student- faculty ratio. Doctors are always available for our help. Anatomy department has one of the best faculties according to me. I don't think someone can teach better Anatomy other than Dr. Bindu. Coming to the exam pattern: Every year you have different subjects and accordingly the exams take place. During the year we have Mid Terms then Send Ups and at last the Finals. Mid Terms and Send ups help alot in our preparation. After completiom of theory exams occur practicals in which we have to perform some task either on patient or on demo followed by a viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do this degree since I was in 12th class. I wanted to be a doctor either by doing BDS or MBBS. This curriculum of a degree prepares well for the real words so that we can start our own practice, but you have to be willing to learn if you do not learn in your college properly. Then you might have to learn from outside, but it prepares you well for the real life. The exams are held once at the end of every year and the difficulty level of exams is moderate to high, so you have to study very seriously if you want to pass with good marks After the theory exams, they take the practical exams and there is equal mark distribution between theory and practical, and you have to obtain 50% marks for passing

The B.D.S alone in itself is not that fruitful due to surge of dentists in India. Although, if one can set private clinic and can run it it's a wonderful career. Certain basic things are limited for MDS students although they can be tought to the BDS students too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is not well oriented by the officials Things we need to know for doing patients are not well taught bcoz that's is what we need for MDS (post graduation) so they donot teach them now Which is wrong So according to me Clinical stuff and practicals should be more concetrated on instead of theoretical study There need to be a mid term exam conducted likewise in MBBS for better preparation Proper test which are not regularly conducted should be there Teachers need to be hired Posts for teachers are vacant Teaching staff needs to teach students instead of pgs
