- The campus is really good , is has lots of tree and since it is in coimbatore definitely the clinate is good too
- Most of the faculties here teach really good
- Lots of restaurants are nearby suurounding the college
Dislikes
- We have uniforms here . A brown pant and a shawl ( only when theory papers are written ) and a beige sort of kurti too with white coat
- Compared to lots of other colleges, , food here is decent but the taste is not that great according to me even though the nutrition here is balanced
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for anat and physio is really nice the way they planned , but plaanning in biochemistry department is not that great . From 2nd year its different, since they let us to interact with patients the communication skill important for a doctor is learnt very well . From secomd year the schedule becomes a bit hectic . . The course curriculum can be improved by not piling up the topics and writing one single exam . But as we are going to be future doctors the memory power checked througj that is important . This course genuinely makes people get fed up with life , but that will be only during the 1st year . Then it will gradually train you to lead life differently and solve problems in life .
Internships Opportunities
Internship will be in the last yr , theyu will be alloting departments to take care of in the hospital and this allotment will be rotational . Most all the departments will be allotted . Sometimes this will give an idea about what to do after UG . Like in what direction shouls we go on .
Fees and Financial Aid
Govt alloted fees for every yr is 4.5 lakhs but then the actual fees per yr varies between 7 L - 8 L(including hostel ) . This particular fees is aplicable only if u go through via government quota . For management quoata it will be around 18 L per yr . For NRI quota it will.be around 24 L per yr . The intership payment is very less in this clg around 2000 per month. Books fees are not included in this. All the fees that i mentioned above includes hostel .
Campus Life
Campus life is good. It wasnt that great in the start but later after everyone got used to the college it started becoming great . This year cultural club is being opened . Cultural events occur every once a year . It will be held for minimum of 4 days . This club will give us more opportunities for intercollege competitions . There is an inter college event called axon , there are lots of things like mun , debate , mystery case and etcetera in it . That a reallh good event knowledge wise and to interact with other college students .
Hostel Facilities
Hostel here is pretty decent until 1st year . From second year the hostel is changed . This is to prevent ragging . But even in the other hostel i have not experienced any ragging sort of thing or heard of it to . Food quality is really good in mess . I feel it personally bad only in the taste . But its understandable because they have to consider everyone who are having food there . They balance the nutrition really well . Coming to snacks that they give in the hostel , they prepare most of it in their own kitchen . Safety in the hostel is really good too.
Admission
This college is located in a very good place and has decent hostel . The infrastructure here is also good . I was alloted to this college accoridng to my mark . But few people even if they had gotten government colleges they choose this over the rest because of the reasons mentioned above
Faculty
Faculty no. Varies in the college . Few of them are chill . The PG students here are really frndly and help their student . The students are divided into groups for each subject and are given a mentor for each subject . Regarding the exams - the exams are not that hard its normal so that people can easily write their university exams . Lots of exams will be held towards the end of 1st year . From second year , students will be exposed to clinicals and will be given chance to interact with the patients.
