Remarks

Positive - The college has been drastically changing and adapting new ways of teaching and providing students with wonderful opportunities to grow. The principal of the college long with few teachers are very much motivating and are constantly working on to make good engineers in every possible way. Negative - the college wasn't that good always. The college has been just a theory learning institute in the last few years and effects of that still exist a little.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course's curriculum is regularly updated according to the requirement and is controlled by the university CSVTU(Chattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University) under which comes the Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology. All important subjects are included one way or another along with proper practical syllabus is decided also.

Placement Experience

4

This year 6 different companies have already visited the campus for placement and students have been placed from every branch. Many more companies to visit in close future for hiring last semester students. Every year placement has been good. But since placement not only depends on college but also on students so maybe in future placement record drops or may even grow further. No, college does not provide internships. It's totally up to students to go anywhere for internships or training.

College Events

3

There are a number of events celebrated in college, the most famous being the matki fod and COLORS the cultural festival of our college. COLORS include various types of events and competitions which include sports, dance, singing, ramp walk, drawing, painting, salad making, etc, etc. While other yearly events include celebration of Teacher's Day, Children's Day, Independence Day, Republic Day and more like that.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is nominal and is decided by the management accordingly. My total fee per semester is just 18k(tuition plus soft skill training fee) but after my batch, the fee structure is changed and costs higher. The fee structure changes yearly according to the various policies of JAN PRAGATI EDUCATION SOCIETY. Although mostly the per semester fee is 34k or 35k(tuition fee plus soft skill training fee) nearly. Not more than that.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know, there is no loan facility offered by the college. But in some cases, if the student cannot pay the fee on time they can get an extended time duration for paying the fee without any late fee. So I can say that in some cases college allows some flexibility for fee payments. Scholarships are provided to students from the government who come under the SC/ST or OBC categories. Hence they have to pay less amount. Many such students have availed scholarships.

Campus Life

3

Since it is a technical institution, labs are 3-4 days a week. Each lab of 2 hours at most for proper utilization of time as well providing enough time to students for performing experiments and noting down everything that is required. Sports happen every Saturday in the second half duration which includes cricket, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, etc as well as indoor games like chess and carrom takes place. On the same day, extracurricular activities happen. Last Saturday i.e. 23/02/2019 photography competition was held and was organized by the Photography Club of the college. There are few more clubs each of different field and aims.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very friendly and helpful to their juniors. The network is quite clumsy but works well. Senior provide their notes and help out there juniors in their college journey as far as possible. Seniors now in college alumni sometimes visit the college and talk to current students giving knowledge about how life changes and how is it to work/job etc.

Faculty

4

The faculties of any college play a major role in how students are gonna come up and grow there. We have very good facilities except for 1 or 2. The faculties are well knowledgeable in their respective fields and try to help students in whatever they can. Although if students are not interacting types then teachers also stay the same. It's a two way traffic condition.

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Course curriculum is very outdated and here the facilities more practical and they believe that if you want you can do other field like non-technical fields and something like government exam. There course or syllabus is not industrial ready.

Internship for the third and final year students, but not paid mostly. Placements are very few, don't expect placement from any government college in Chhattisgarh. Work on your skill. Companies like Adani came for placement for Mtech mining students. Highest package is of 3.5 lpa, He works in Bangalore. Other students do master. I am working in my skills and I will try for off campus placement or I will go abroad for master or job.

Remarks:

The college was established in 2009 and is therefore still growing. The staff and facilities are working very hard to create exceptions and achievements. As the college is comparatively new from others. Therefore, more hard work can be seen in the part of faculties. This gives students studying now a great advantage to learn and gain more.
