- Thing I liked about this college is it's faculty ,they are very friendly and also knows the way of proper teaching that can affect the maximum students in a right way .they are very friendly with their teachers and also have a polite behaviour.
- Another thing is the fees structure that is a very good and easily affordable thing .it is a autonomous college so it's fees are very minimum compared to other colleges .
Dislikes
- This college have no fests or programs,that are necessary for a student as important as study .but that's the major issue in the college .
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally choosed this course as there is less competition compared to other field.the study of geology helps in day to day life as it is related to earth ,sea,water and mountain etc.but the college having very limited practical material and also the available materials are not used properly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college for the course is 3350 per year ,as it is a fully government college and also a autonomous college.the admission fees is 1662 only for the highest category i.e. general boys ,and it also carried from cast to cast and boy to girl. The fees for girls and SC,ST students and 100 rupees less than generals.no scholarship provided from the college but the state government provides yearly scholarship.
Campus Life
Social activities and very minimum in the college ,only study and exams are the things for the students. that's a biggest demerit of choosing this college.the facilities are projector screen and that only in the class of very few departments. No social groups,no clubs or no student portal of the college is available
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are manageable.but I choosef pg as it was more freedom than the hostel of college .the food menu of the pg was good but the quality is average.but in locality easily you can get foods or snacks
Admission
I applied for this college only as it is near to my hometown.i was sure that my marks will get selected for the course. The admin process is very easy ,the website of www.samsodisha.com provides form and application for applying into the institution.after get selected you have to visit the college physically to get admission.
Faculty
The faculty of every department are very well and polite .in every department no. Of faculty varries.the relationship between the faculty and students is very good. I liked my geology teacher Narayan sir as he is one of the teachers who try to find the solution of every problem his student having. Exam are moderable but the gaps between semester are very less .,in 1 year you have to appear 4 exam including 2 semester and 2 mid semester.
