Course Curriculum Overview
Historical distribution is quite good in my curriculum which widens my scope of learning for further exams. The curriculum definitely prepares me for real world applications with its evergreen content. However, some creative aspects can be added in the curriculum. Exams happen at regular intervals and the difficulty level is moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is affordable. As it is a government college, per year fees is less than 1000 rupees. For girls and backward classes, it is further less. Scholarship benefits are also provided to the students, both state and national.
Campus Life
There's no frequent functions in the college. Study is the primary motive, leaving very less time for entertainment events. However, academic events happen at regular intervals. Library is not so poor or so great, it just has the necessary books for academic growth. Smart classes are not available in all the departments. Sports isn't a primary concern in the college and hence the athletes won't sustain here for a long time. No student-run groups are available in the college.
Admission
I applied to Rourkela Government college but I choose this college because it has better faculty and more focused academic life. I didn't get any rejection from other colleges, I choose to study here only. The admission process is very easy as SAMS handles the entire procedure. Through CPET, students can admit themselves in this college and the cut off is also a little above average. Admission will be done in a jiffy as the administration is quite workaholic.
Faculty
Faculty members are very approachable and friendlt. They listen to the querries of students and attend to them as soon as possible. Ratio of faculty to student is also quite good. Personally, I like Sasmita Pramanik and Deepshika Routray for their teaching method. There's no such teacher who can be disliked. Exams happen twice per year, four if the internals are included. Questions are up to the mark. Course curriculum is very relevant and will definitely help you in further entrances.
Night Life
Gym is there but with average equipments. There are no hang out spots in the college. Post evening, the entire colleges goes numb as no student is allowed inside the premises. There's no cantene or public area. Locality is safe to roam but inside the college is prohibited.
