ISME COLLEGE OVERALL REVIEW

The BBA course here is driven by a lot of practical knowledge which is necessary for the near future when taking up a job. The syllabus lines up with other competitive exams the students may choose to give. Industrial visits give the students an idea on how the real world actually works and prepares them for the same. The curriculum is very disciplined and strict. Attendance is very mandatory in each class. 75% attendance is required for each subject to be able to give the BU exam.

Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Grant Thornton offer internship opportunities with payment around 20k-40k under Industry Trajectory Programme where 20% students in PGDM second year get placed in the beginning of the second year and 50% by December through ITP.

The placements of ISME are excellent, with over 80-90% students being placed after their course ends, with many of them choosing to go for higher studies. Before the placemtns students also opt to do internships for experience. Over 140 companies offer placements in the campus, which include Deloitte, KPMG, Federal Bank, Grant Thornton and many more. Highest package for UG goes around 8LPA and average around 5LPA. Highest for PG goes around 14LPA and average around 7.5LPA. There are also paid internships for PG students.

The total yearly fees is 5,90,000 for BBA which includes hostel, laundry, food, health insurance and tuition fees. Scholarships of various sorts are provided based on different criteria which include merit, parents being in the army, local bangalore students and few more. Hostel fee for the first year is 1,55,000.

Over 25+ events are held throughout the year, 4 conclaves, 1 annual research conference, a ted ex event, corporate guest lectures, industry visits, and almost every festive event. There are smart boards installed in every classroom which makes the learning experience even smoother and better. There is a fit zone which has football, basketball, volleyball courts. There are intercollegiate events for the same with ISME having it's own team. There are clubs students can participate in, or even make their own ones if they are interested, including, literary club, cinema club, cultural club, painting club and many more. These clubs offer the students a chance to develop skills and explore things other than the academics.

There is an on campus hostel. There is drinking water, a wifi, helpers who come every morning to clean the room, a laundry system to wash the clothes, security and a warden who takes care of all the business of the hostel. The menu is very accommodating, with food being offered from north and south India both. The quality of food is very good.

I applied to a few other colleges before I decided to join ISME which include Presidency, IFIM and Mount Carmel. I chose ISME over these colleges purely because of the qualifications of the teachers, the batch size and the chance to get international exposure. The admission process of ISME is fairly simple. There's a college exam which is conducted online.

There are over 50 highly experienced, full time faculty with international and corporate experience on campus here. They are highly trained to provide each student the individual attention they desire the need. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:12. All the faculty is very friendly towards the students and always willing to help no matter what the time. They are very approachable and understanding. There are internal and external BU exams all round the year, following the semester exam system. 100% is the pass percentage for the UG students. The course curriculum is industry driven with industrial visits and practical knowledge being imparted. There are value added courses included in the curriculum too. For BCOM students, the college includes ACCA and there's an international trip for the students for exposure and learning.

There was an aptitude test prior to the interview which tested a student's reasoning skills along with other aspects. After the test there was a personal interview with the teachers who tested the student's ability to answer questions and asked them questions about the courses they were pursuing.
