Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have always preferred Science over Arts.I took Zoology because I'm interested in the human bodies and their mechanisms. I learnt alot more about bodies and could relate to it.We did practicals alongwith classes which deepens our understanding. If there is a field to improve,I would suggest giving notes to the students. Some teachers give notes while some don't . The exam timing is quite fast paced but that was because of the new NEP implemented last year.

Internships Opportunities

3

I am not so sure of the internship details but I have heard of it. I am still a fresher so I am not still sure of it. Would love to dig into it more. There's an MA course as well. And some of the students have done researches with the help of the professors as their guides.I do not know the exact details about it

Fees and Financial Aid

?26,200 for each semester. Admission fees costs around 5000 which got deducted from the first semester fees. No exam fees aside. Biotechnology fees costs about ?40,000. Sociology around ?19,000. Overall, there is no increase in course fees as of yet.

Campus Life

5

Most of the times,we leave the campus after the gate is closed around 6pm because it's such a great spot to hangout for students. We gain access to the volleyball, badminton, football courts even after all classes ends which really benefits us. There are many events that takes place. Randomly, there are food fests held where students from around parts of India showcase their cultures. The biggest of the event is the Edblazon, college week held in March. It takes place for roughly a month with the main events for about a week. One of my favorite spot is the library.Peaceful and quiet.Varieties of books that includes even Bible.Within the classrooms,we have specimens in our zoology classroom that helps us relate to the topics taught using it as examples. We mostly use projectors for lectures. There are varities of clubs from NSS,NCC,Dance club, food club etc.

Admission

I applied only for St. Edmunds. I have heard great things about the college. That excited me.When I first visited the college, the infrastructures were so great. It wasn't strictly restricted to studies alone. It also focused on tons and tons of activities like sports, dance, arts etc which perks my curiosity. The campus, ground, the trees are so healing. The canteens are also affordable and for hostelers like us,it is healthy to have a canteen that provides rice, curries etc. Both boys and girls have their separate common rooms which are the best. I chose Edmunds over others because of the campus size, the location, the varities of courses and their history. The Principal is so chill. He is the kindest. I love how every part of the building connects. The lectures are also great to attend because the teachers are easy to approach. There is no CUET needed. It was a first come, first serve basis. They were quick to respond with the admission processes which was necessary for us

Faculty

5

The faculties are the absolute best. They are so friendly. We became friends with them in a short span.My teachers in my department are the best. They listen to our opinions with true intentions so that makes us build our confidence to speak up.One time I was sick and I called my teacher, she helped me and even bought me soup and told me to call her if I need someone to accompany me to the hospital since my family lives in another state. So we have internal tests before every semester exams. The difficulty level is average but it helps us cover for our semester exam as well.We also have class tests in between classes. We have semester exams which is on an average-difficult level. After that,we have practicals, mostly those included in classes.

The curriculum of my course is pretty good and helpful with proper teaching about the subject, it is also helpful for real-life work and activities with proper hands-in skills teaching and theoretical knowledge. But there is a big setback that it is not recognised by the Indian council of agricultural research(ICAR). Recognition by the ICAR will have a big boost in the course and department
