Likes
- Things that i like are the college campus, it has a vast campus , with a lot of greenery present. College is also locted in quit peaceful place. It has a beautiful park also.
- Their are different lab with many instruments and machines to perform different experiments. The best thing is that our college has a patent department which is very helpful for students to patent their discoveries.
- And college have nice ground to play also. Their are nice cafes and canteen also. It also has gym in its campus.
Dislikes
- Thing that i dislike is the partiality between the mbbs students and other department students. Mbbs students are treated as higher people.
- Some teachers behave like school teachers and just shout on students unnecessary. Assignment are given which are not at all creative and we just need to copy from google and thats all no information is gained from it.
- Fest happen in college but more function should happen so that student can enjoy their college life.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose biotechnology as it comprises of many things and futher it open a lot of opportunity in different places. As it is used in food industry, research, laboratory, biotechnology AI, and many other things. Usually the first sessional occurs in the month of september and the second in November and the semester exam occur in january.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements in their last yesr of bsc or in their last year of msc. The average package is 5 lakh per annum Percentage of students getting placement would be around 20-25% only. My plan afer getting this degree is to pursue msc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee per semester for all indian category is= 35,000/- Tution fee for uttarakhand residents is=25, 900/- per semester Admission fee one time=7, 500/- University enrollment fee one time =1, 000/- Security fee refundable on completion of program=10, 000/- University examination fee=5, 000/- Vaccination chargee if applicable=1, 500/- University supplementary examination fee per course , if applicable=1, 000/- Convocation fee charged in final year=2, 000/- Alumni fee charged with final year=1, 000/- Hostel fee per year =42, 000/- Scholarship for defense student and for students who have scored 80% or more in 12th standard is also present.
Campus Life
Their is an annual function for 3 days which is usually held on February or march. In this fest first two days are for the performance of students and faculty. At the last day performers come from outside. One more concert occur in the month of usually November or december. Dandia function also occur in navratri. Open mic occur in the month of august, where student can showcase their talent. These function are held by a group called younite who take responsibility for all these function. There is one large cenral library, which has great infrastructure and also has prive cabits for individuals
Admission
I choose this college as it is a medical college its specialty is in medical field only. Rest colleages have different specialty life engineering etc and biotech was not their main thing. Also uttarakhand doesn't have many college who provide this bsc hons biotechnology degree. I was also looking for taking admission in hit university but i didn't because its campus was quite small. The admission process was also quite simple, you have to just fill an application form online and post your documents their, and then you can go to college admission office and talk to any official give your admission fee and simply your admission is done.
Faculty
Most of the faculty are quite approachable and are always welcome for queries. Their are very qualified professors who teach us. The student to faulty ratio is also good. Each professor have a group of mentees. These mentees can go to their mentors for any help. In one semester their are two sessionals which are of 25 marks and at end semester occur of 100 marks. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. Although their are people who get back in some subject.
