Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is definitely very vast with a lot of detail to remember but our faculties make it easier for us to learn by conducting self directed learning sessions, group discussions, presentations, quizzes, model based skill learning, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for 4 and 1/2 years of MBBS is ?5856 which includes Registration fee (?25), Caution money (?100), Tuition fee (?1350), Laboratory fee (?90), Student union fee (?63), Hostel rent (?990), Gymkhana fee (?220), Pot fund (?1320), Electricity charges (?198), Mess security (?500) and Hostel security (?1000). Out of these mess security and hostel security fee are refundable at the end of the course

Campus Life

3.5

We have an annual fest, Udbhav, every year around the month of march. We also celebrate our institution's foundation day and annual day in the months of may and march, respectively. Apart from that we have 2 sports fests every year, summer and monsoon. Our library is air conditioned with with all relevant books available. It is quite spacious and provides a good reading environment. Our classrooms are equipped with projectors and screens along with traditional blackboards. We also have digital boards. Currently there are not many student run clubs as it is a new institution but hopefully we will have them all soon.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We have single and double seater rooms.1st and 2nd years get double seater rooms while 3rd year onwards single seater rooms are alloted to everyone. There are balconies attached to the rooms with a lake view from the same. We are provided with a bed, a table, a chair and a wooden cupboard. We also have facilities of water coolers on every floor, elevators and paid washing machines. Hostels are allocated at the time of admission randomly and can be changed further.

Admission

I chose AIIMS over other state colleges, one because obviously AIIMS is not just a college but a brand. It is a institute of national importance. It provides better faculties, better equipments, better research opportunities, etc.

Faculty

4

We have top faculties from across the country. They are all very supportive and look into all our problems unlike state college professors. The faculties here are very approachable and listen to students issues. We have 3 Professional exams. 1 at the end of 1st, 2nd and 4th year each. Apart from professional exams we have 2 exams (1 mid semester and 1 end semester) in each semester along with practicals for eaxh subject. We also have ward leaving exams for our clinical postings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is PRETTY big. Its really big, actually. Sometimes its hard to handle, because of its bulk, some of it is relevant some of it is not, in the clinical applications but you have to study that to jncrease your knowledge, while the exams are focused on a few important topics out of the curriculum, thoee topics are meant to be focused on, more as they carry more clinical importance than the others.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.
