Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum is pretty Learning and lengthty making it very much hard for those people who are adapted towards spoon feeding like Getting notes and books. The curriculum is Topics related and have to invest extreme time in self-study and Self note writing. The curriculum is very good making it Adaptable enough and prepares us for real world applications and further academic pursuits. There should be more preference to allow Book learning and Notes making rather than verbal teaching which allows Students from all backgrounds of School boards making it easier to grasp the topics and concepts. Exams are pretty Competitive and need a lot of time to understand.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many companies like TCS LG Panasonic or Pharma Companies like Mankind etc. there are numerous projects and outcomes making it very easier to understand the Tasks and situations of the Workload given to the interns and a very good quality and experienced Education.

Placement Experience

4

From the Final semester Students become eligible for campus placements.Companies like TCS and Life's Good have visited and made numerous offers. Many students have got a good placement in companies like LG or TCS. My plans are getting degree is to practice in court.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The Year wise fees I paid was Rs.39500, It is Semester Based Fees system where we have to pay fees after the end of every semester. It included the Tution fees, Transportation fees, Admission Fees and Prospects Fees (Rs.1000). There was Reservation for SC,ST and other quotas too. There is Scholarship program for SC/ST which allows them to Study in College for Free without any Fees of any Availability.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many events happening around the campus making it a wonderful experience. the GPL (Global premier League) or Badminton tournament or Turban tying Competition or Dead lifting competition etc making it a very participating and entertaining thing. There is respective Library for each department and the Main library is in the Main building with variety of Books. We enjoy Sports and extracurricular activities like Horse riding, Gym, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton etc.

Admission

I applied to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Amritsar Law College, Amritsar, CGC Mohali, Punjab. And from all of them I got a confirmed seat from Amritsar Law College and CGC Mohali. I chose Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar because it was near to my home and it was easy to reach whereas Amritsar Law College was very far and time consuming to reach and CGC Mohali was not in My homecity and didn't wanted to go outside my city. I didn't got Seat in Guru nanak Dev University due to Cutoff Criteria and the Cutoff of Guru nanak dev University was 93%. We have to apply for Punjab Law Admissions and fill the choices we want to get seat in. The Cutoff of Global Group of Institutes was 78% and there is no entrance exam for my course (BA.LLB).

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members of the college are overall very friendly and Nice towards the Students and are very understanding and respectful and allows the students to open and Share their insights and Queries without hesitating. The HOD is very nice and friendly and has a great sense of understanding the students and make them feel comfortable while explaining all the lectures. And every faculty member has a good sense of understanding towards the students. The exam system is pretty bit difficult as it has Mid semester exams and which includes 2 exams on a single day making it harder to cope up with and Very Few students failed. Course curriculum is pretty much relevant but the help of books is less recommanded and Verbal learning is more appreciated.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh Group of Colleges - [CGC] Jhanjeri | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

Seats got Full and was Not in my Homecity and I wanted to opt for a college which was in my Homecity.

Placement Experience:

Most students opt for PPO since placement cell here is not so good. Also companies also select 5-10 toppers only for interview. At the end, 20-30 students are employed (both ppo and on campus placements) post 5 year course out 180-220 students. Most students prepare for judiciary as result.
