Things I liked the most about my university is that We get to learn about each and every culture and traditions of people belongs from other state. It is cultural diverse university.
Allow studdents to do internships in their final year of engineering
faculty motivate you to do projects and help it out to make some out[put of it.

Dislikes

There is too much pressure during exam time.
They allow students to do internships in final year but after so much of request
There is no placement in aerospace department

Fees and Financial Aid

The courses offerded by Chandigarh University, Mohali Punjab is totally on scholarship based via CUCET test organised by the university. According to the score card scholarship is provided to the students. In 2021 I took the admission in the BE Aerospace engineering that time fee structure was 90,000/- per semester and after scholarship of 30% I am paying about 63,000/-. CU provide various scholarships like defence scholarships and punjab native scholarships etc.

Campus Life

If I talk about campus life, it experience a new chapter of survial. Like you met people from different state and get to know about their cultural and traditionals. Through this medium will get socialize.

Admission

I choose Chandigarh University for Aerospace engineering because it is the best college in north india for space and science in private sector. As a am being passionate aero it took me here. I also applied for other collges as well ut there is alck of lab and other stuff.

Faculty

The relationship of student and faculty is vary with faculty to faculty. For some students they are so sweet and on other hand they are too rude. In terms of exams, there are two internal mid sems and then end sem.

Solid Campus, Supportive Faculty and Predictable Academics

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

How can Lovely Professional University change your way of life.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document. I got a call that you can come to university and attend classes. The admission process of too simple so I never taught of choosing other college at that time....Read More

A Student's Perspective ( Chandigarh University ) in Review

I haven't applied for other colleges because i was convinced for the college only my some of the friends were already studying in this college they told me everything about is and i also researched so much about this college before admission. Also the number of companies visits for placement was large. Admission process was simple When you visit their website and you show interest for admission they gives you and personal counsellor Who tells you about the admission process sometime if you stuck in every step they do it for you. there are two processes 1 is 12th merit based which is a direct entry if you got above 90 percent in your 12th Standard and 2ND - CUCET Enterance exam which is compulsory for Non direct Admissions There is nothing like cutoff in this exam this is a selection based exam but you have to get more than 40% marks in this exam for scholarship....Read More
