The field i choosed to study is very interesting. The are lot pf opportunities in this area in the upcoming market. The curriculum used here is precise and students friendly as well as the faculty friendly

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi, i am pursuing aerospace engineering in Chandigarh university. A well known university to all of us. The course i picked is upcoming future and the university is also looking for students in the field. The total fees of degree will be 8 lakhs and additional fees will be added so round about i give 1 lakh 10 thousands per semester

Campus Life

The Chandigarh University is famous for the fest amd the regular activities. The clubs here are very active and friendly. They provide the opportunity for the participants and students who have a chance to experience some fun and excitement.

Hostel Facilities

The most hated and most unpopular thing about the University is the hostels. The students like me who have a good sense for what is a good accommodation have too much problems to deal with because the food is very bad

Admission

This the best private university in the India which teaches students about aerospace. I also tried for the VIT but I couldn't get the aerospace course. So I prefer to go to CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY rather than the PARUL UNIVERSITY

Faculty

I would like to say the teachers are very good...the teacher to students ratio is like 1:30 which is a very pretty number...there are total 3 exams...2 mid semester and one final exams...all the numbers are counted

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

How can Lovely Professional University change your way of life.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document. I got a call that you can come to university and attend classes. The admission process of too simple so I never taught of choosing other college at that time....Read More

A Student's Perspective ( Chandigarh University ) in Review

I haven't applied for other colleges because i was convinced for the college only my some of the friends were already studying in this college they told me everything about is and i also researched so much about this college before admission. Also the number of companies visits for placement was large. Admission process was simple When you visit their website and you show interest for admission they gives you and personal counsellor Who tells you about the admission process sometime if you stuck in every step they do it for you. there are two processes 1 is 12th merit based which is a direct entry if you got above 90 percent in your 12th Standard and 2ND - CUCET Enterance exam which is compulsory for Non direct Admissions There is nothing like cutoff in this exam this is a selection based exam but you have to get more than 40% marks in this exam for scholarship....Read More
