Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for Computer/IT is somewhat useful. The curriculum included every aspect required right from the basic to professional. Software and Hardware both are given equal importance in the curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Our college does not provide internship to its students rather the college asks the students themselves to do an internship somewhere else for industry exposure. According to me, every college must provide internships opportunities to each student.
Placement Experience
Placements at our college are about 30-40%. This is because most of the students fail to clear the aptitude exam which is required for hiring. Students are offered jobs at decent companies like Syntel, Hexaware, etc.
College Events
A total of 3 events are conducted by our college. Kurukshetra: This is a sports event where students can participate in various outdoor sports competitions. Vector: This is a technical event where students can participate in technical games. Rhythms: This is a music festival where students interested in singing can participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of this college is feasible. If the student belongs to any caste, then they can avail the benefits of their caste as provided by the state government. Government scholarships are also available at this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government scholarships are best for any student that is going to study in this college. The student must have proper documents to avail of the scholarship. Caste based students are also benefitted by availing the benefits of their caste. This college has a caste reservation system.
Campus Life
Labs are filled with outdated and faulty equipment. Computer labs are filled with outdated computers. Electronic and Electrical labs are filled with faulty equipment. The infrastructure of the college is a bit good.
Hostel Facilities
This college doesn't have any hostel. Hence students who come from another city need to find a place to live on their own. This college has facilities for sports. The canteen of this college is hygienic and food here is also cheap.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students here are helpful as they know this college better. The alumni network of this college is good and the college held alumni meet every year. Senior students help newcomers understand how this college works.
Exam Structure
4 years of any engineering course consists of 8 semesters. Each semester is about 5-6 months long. At the end of each semester, the university conducts a written exam. Practical exams are also conducted by the university.
Admission
I got admission in this college through the state entrance exam. College grants admission to students on the basis of their entrance exam scores (JEE/CET). Those who give only JEE are granted admission on the basis of 'All India Quota'.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is of average quality. Teachers cover the starting syllabus slowly and then complete the remaining syllabus in a hurry. The faculty of our college consists of mixed behaviors like some time they'll help and sometimes they won't.
