Remarks

College is not providing holidays for regional festivals and is not giving some government holidays. College is completely isolated from other colleges. The syllabus is vast. The positive point is it gives a good platform for clinical postings.

Radiographic examination is increasing day by day and the possibilities too. BSc(MIT) gives us a chance to be a radiographer which is a highly paid job in other countries. Deals with most of the medical books. The syllabus is not vast and is moderate for knowledge of allied health professionals.

Internships Opportunities

One year internship is compulsory for all allied health students. The internship is given by day and night shifts. Bsc MIT Intern gets a stipend of Rs 1500 per month for 1 year. They are also allowed to take leave but must be compensated.

Placement Experience

Has job opportunities in radiology departments in all hospitals. Allied health professionals are not paid well in India but have a good opportunity outside India. Placements from Philips and Siemens comes every year.

College Events

No many events are celebrated as it is a private university. Republic day and independence day is the major events conducted so far. Many other organizations conduct programs by selling tickets. Regional programs not done.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive compared to other colleges. other colleges take 1 lakh for BSc MIT while SOAHS takes 1.5 lakhs with benefits of medical insurance up to 1 lakh per year. University values make the fees comparatively expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided to localite students in which they pay only 10000 rs per year. Other scholarship for those who have Konkani as their mother tongue in which they receive 25 percentage scholarships.

Campus Life

Manipal is the best place for extracurricular activities. Many organizations conduct different programs which are the best stage for extracurricular activities. Sports meet, swimming, marathons etc all are conducted.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is not up to the mark. High fees are deducted and maintenance is not proper. 1st years to stay in hostels are mandatory and then after some of them vacate to nearby apartments at little cost.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful in helping out to tell exam patterns and requirements which faculties fail to do so. Alumni networks are conducted once in 5 years most of them take part in the function. Soahs.

Exam Structure

The exam is conducted on e-pads to reduce the usage of paper. 50 marks question paper in which 25 is the pass mark. Two 10 marks questions and rest 5 marks questions. For failed students, supplementary exams are conducted at rs 650.

Admission

Apply online in manipal.edu with application fees of 600/-. Later we will receive an email regarding send our 10th and 12th marks. Based on the 12th marks they will give us rank and counseling will be arranged according to the rank. Students can fill the vacant seats in different courses.

Faculty

Faculties are good enough. Most of the faculties are graduates of the same college and have good skills. Some classes are taken commonly for allied health students in a big lecture hall. Faculties of the diffrent departments come for the classes.

Remarks:

As there's is positive mentioned above, there's also some negative's. College won't have an good atmosphere, like peaceful campus. There's also no specific classrooms. the theory classes are taken inside college auditorium. As it is an hospital we should understand that.
