Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Overall the course is good . It has got good scope now and in future. I have dual course speech and hearing . After my undergraduation i can take any one of these and go for further studies . It has good scope in abroad aswell. The curriculum is prepared well and practical knowledge we get here is good expecially at manipal .

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship is around 10months . In which we have to do externship around 2 months that are available in many places such as banglore, kochi, Chennai. Stipend is around 2000 which is lesser compared to other colleges and the internship is free.

Fees and Financial Aid

1sr year fees i paid aroud 2,76,000 and from 2nd year onward i paid 2,66,000 . Registration fee was 600 . Bpt and bot also have same course fee. Caution deposit was 7000 . And the internship is free and will get a stipent of 1800

Campus Life

4.5

Infrastructure is good . There is annual day program called utsav where all the manipal college will come together and have competitive programs . Marena is there for sports activities. The library of manipal is the asias largest college library. And manipal museum of anatomy and pathology is asias largest museum.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I really didn't like my hostel. The hostel mess was not very good and quality was also not good . They had non veg options on alternate days. The room that i studied was not good . I stayed in a thriple room with common bathroom.

Admission

I applied to aiish which is a government college of speech and hearing . I wrote the entrance exam there but didn't get the admission as i had poor score. Mchp has entrance exam but it is not that difficult. It is easier and 11th and 12th based question was asked. The certificate value of manipal has high value and patient exposure is good compared to all other colleges.

Faculty

4.5

Overall the faculties are good and clinically expertised in their field . All the faculties sre supportive to students . There are 20 faculties in both speech and hearing department and 12 phd scholars. Each sem they conduct 2 sessional exams and 1 end sem exam . The exams are conducted in epad tablet . Sessional exam are of 30marks and end sem are conducted out of 100. Exams are not that difficult and some are moderate.
