BCA course review in ICFAI

The BCA curriculum is relevant but needs more real-world projects. It prepares for entry level jobs but lacks modern topics like AI. Exams are moderate with two per semester more practicals are needed.

Internships at ICFAI Tripura are limited, with companies like TCS, ONGC, shopperstop offering roles in IT and managements. Projects often involves basic tasks, but industry exposure in Tripura remains minimal.

From 5-6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Placements is not that great local companies like pran and other companies visited. Average package as per companies are around 240000 and highest 500000 I'm not sure about the packages.

For the 3 year BCA course, we pay 60000 per year. As an OBC category student, I recieve a scholarship of 34000 yearly, which helps reduce the overall cost significantly. The fees cover tuition, lab, and development charges. In the first year, i also has to pay a one-time caution fee which was 10000 it is refundable and registration fee 20000. Other category students like sc and st have similar fees but may receive different scholarships depending on the government's policies. General category students in my batch pay the full 60000 some of them recieve scholarship which is merit based. If we score above 8 CGPA in every semester our fees also get reduced for example some of my friends got 9cgpa in 1st semester so in 2nd semester there 40% of the semester fee is reduced.

Novatos and ICARIA are the best. Novatos are for the freshers for 2 days on the first day it was cultural night and the second day was dj night and ICARIA for 4 days. Smart boards are given in every classes.

I chose ICFAI Tripura over other universities due to its strong reputation excellent faculty and Better infrastructure. In Tripura only fee colleges offers BCA course I was from humanities background. The admission process at ICFAI was smooth requires a basic eligibility of 60% in 12th grade.

In my college, faculties are approachable with a 1:70 ratio. I liked Tania ma'am for clarity and Dhurbajyoti sir for practical insights. Exams are moderately easy if you're a average student, with relevant curriculum.
