Course Curriculum Overview

4

There's not many options for law course in my city so this university makes it easy to take part into the course . They are newly developing and lacking in some areas but definitely there's a spark for change . We are given internship break to go on and experiences the field in its real self the university is very cooperative in that sense . Although we were told that will be more events and activity related to our field but that did not happen. We did had weekly seminars sessions during our 2nd semester which was a good for basic knowledge of different topics of law . We had our mid semester exams after one month of starting of the session which was rushed same with the second semester exams but this time they are being properly managed. Hope to see better from the university

Placement Experience

3

My Couse is new and my batch is the first batch of law students so no proper idea of placement for now . From what i have heard from senior from different department many had gotten good placement. And the students are eligible to apply for Placement in their last year of course duration

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in the beginning of July and Classes started in Mid August . Before admission i paid 10k for registration. After filling up the form and giving all my details my admission was confirmed in a few days . As i had above 70% marks in my 12th board exam i got a 10% scolded in my first semester. My tuition Fees is 30k development fee 2000 and exam fee 2000 then ICT fee 1100 . We also have an additional 8k fees for those who avail bus facility. Everyone almost pays the same fees except few who have less than 75% attendance they need to pay fine along with there semester Fees . The university offers Scholarship to students who come from weaker financial background.

Campus Life

2.5

The University do partakes in many events and Functions like hackaton rangoli uthsav arambh uthsav but most events are tect related though their no restrictions on participation not all have that sort of knowledge and Few events notification are given very late . We don't have a fest in the University the students did try to organize one but didn't had proper Management in that . There are clubs for photographers marketing fine art literature etc but not all are very active . The library is well equipped with text books journals e- magazines newspaper but there not many books available for Law department.

Admission

Before applying to Sarala Birla University i had only applied for one other United that was St. Xavier's college Ranchi . I wanted to take up Bachelors in history Hons but when had gotten the informed of Law course being available in sarala birla university i also applied there and got selected sooner than st.xavier . The admission process was quite easy i had submitted my Details and got approval in a few days . I was given admission on merit in my 12th Board exam

Faculty

3.5

The Law Faculty is new to the university. The faculty is friendly and cooperative but some lack teaching experiences sometimes they rush things up making it hard to understand or keep it too slow and time taking though In my experience all the faculty member are good and are very approachable. We have 4 sets of exam each year . Mid semester and End Semester. In my batch of students many did fail to pass the exam due to their lacking knowledge of the subject. Our curriculum is based on the pattern set by the BAR council so yes its very relevant just the teaching style may affect the subject understanding

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well I'm a first year student and in the first year we were mostly taught BA subjects like English, economics, philosophy, legal history, contract and tort. Among these, I think that legal history and philosophy were the most important subjects that we got to study. They're highly practical and helps us develop arguments and gets us to know about the history of how the legal system in India came into being. Exams are conducted on a pretty good time intervals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here the positive part is that most of the law teachers are from nlus or from good law collages. The teachers here have a good knowledge of the field of law and most of the teachers are helpfull. Negative part sometimes the teachers are not able to fully complete there syllabus because law is a vast subject.

Placement Experience:

People starts getting Pre-Placemt offers from their last semesters. College do provide the placements to those who apply but in the earlier years maj used to go for Judiciary,UPSC or higher studies. So limited used to apply so limited company interaction we had. But from the latest few years in back our college provides a good amount of placement and many companies are coming here. It's evolving daily. Meanwhile many opt their own search for jobs via internships in firms. We have seniors placed in Khaitan, CAM, SAM, MSA.etc. Even seniors are opting higher studies in foreign countries. So overall it's the hardwork of the student and help of the college. The NLU tag in itself opens atleast one door. The learnings.

Placement Experience:

5th year (final year students) are the only ones eligible for placement. You can work on your own to get one before that. The placement cell has very recently become active and so we need to wait 6 more months to see the real ratio of placements made. However, most students here either pursue LLM, or they get placement offers before the college can provide them or they simply go for preparing judiciary, govt counsels, or other jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main motive to choose the course or to say likely to choose these course because it is very learning course for every student to know there right and duties and more over laws. After choosing the course it was really hardship to cover whole syllabus at one semester though I process it out and make it easy the law basically tought us to solve the reasoning in short and simple. Which I am learning in my whole semester which is not affecting my exams and internship duration.
