Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

there are a lot of opportunities of electronics engineering after computer engineering and the scope is good. the course lacks a bit in training for the real world.teaching methods is up to the mark but the course needs a reassessment and new information is required. the timings for the exams is well placed as a student like me who studies at night can have a healthy sleep and can still be awake before exams, but as for the frequency of exams conducted is hectic as every month has an exam, before the trauma of one exam is gone another pops up.

Placement Experience

4

From the start of 7th sem a student is eligible for placements. Infochip, matcart, mg motors are a few of the companies which visited as of offers im not that informed as im not seeking for a placement. average package is around 3lpa to 3.5 lpa. around 30% students get placement. i am seeking for further education and a placement is not my requirement as of now.

Fees and Financial Aid

the yearly fees for BVM is quite affordable and is under 6000 the catch is that in the first year the hostel provided by college is compulsory and is unavoidable this hostels have tiers and the cheapest one is pretty disgusting, the better one is very expensive and goes up to 1 lakh, there are scholarships available but the chances of an individual getting one are thin, the benifits of sc and st are completely for admission. fees might be a bit costly for the semi government courses.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is decent and multiple events take place, the annual cultural event "UDAAN" is a culturally rich event. multiple hackathons are conducted. library is quite diversed and has a range of books and journals. the class rooms are high tech and are equipped with projectors hooked to a computer. there are multiple sports opportunities in college as the college is quite active in that field. there are clubs of all the activities such as music, theater, arts, sports and etc

Admission

I applied for MSU Vadodara as it is top notch in terms of an engineering college in my city but the bar for admission is quite high there because of that i was not allegable. i was getting an admission in navrachna Vadodara, SVIT vasad but the better option for opportunities for a college i was getting an admission was BVM. as i was transitioning from diploma to btech i got an admission direct in the 2nd year which eliminates factors like high cutoff and entrance exam, it was quite easy get an admission but the paper work is quite lengthy.

Faculty

4

the ratio of faculties is enough as enough attention is provided by the faculties, M.M solanki sir is very understanding and is excellent in making students understand the topics, as well as prof. mehfuza maam, she is all the goods you need from a professor. some professors are not able to connect with the students and the lectures are a struggle because of that, for example Dr.vala sir. there are 3 exams in a sem, mid sem 1, mid sem 2 and the final examination, there was a rule named npta(not permitted to attempt) this rule does not let students to attempt final exam unless the score of both mids is not up to the mark , this is a constant spiral down as one who is not able to clear mids has to then attempt the remid in which he or she has to gain score of 2 mids which is very difficult for a below average student, the relevance of the course is quite relevant but the course is very dated and the student who graduates has to gain knowledge form outside as the course has information fro

Placement Experience:

Placements at Ahmedabad University are structured and well-organised. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and the placements cell starts preparing us earlier through workshops, mock interviews and resume sessions. A good range of companies visit the campus, including consulting firms, it companies, finance and analytics roles, start-ups and well-known multinational organisations. The number of offers varies each year, but most visiting companies recruit for roles like business analysts, software developers, marketing associates, finance trainees and operations roles.

Placement at GEC Gandhinagar are decent but not as strong as the top engineering college in Gujarat while a few repeatable companies visit the frequency and variety could be better many students with good gpas and project work seek your decent job either through the collegial or by actively applying on their own for those who dont get campus placement the college still provide a solid foundation you can pursue higher studies take certification course or enter the IT or core industry thought of campus jobs overall the experience prepares you sufficiently for the next step But its wise to Proactive about your career.

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.
