Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of VIT is good and updated as per new market requirements. The integeration of AI and Machine learning and they teach AI and ML to every branch even if you are a Civil student thanks to the FFCS( Fully Flexible Credit System) of vit which allow every student to study what they want and when they want. Particularly in Electronics and Communication they include all the information you need for real world application and also they include spicial guest lectures where industry exepert come and give information about their work requirement. In my opinian there is no as such need of improvement.

Fees and Financial Aid

In VIT there are various fee structure according to how much marks or rank you get in VITEEE exam there are 5 category I took admitission in 1 catagory my fees in 198000 per year which is nearly 800000 or 8 Lacks for completing my Degree. Here fee in 5th category get up to 500000 per year which is very high and not value for money. Also hostel fees and mess fees including both is 200000/ 2 lacks , I have taken 4bed-Ac room and veg mess. I vary as you change your room choices or mess choices. I think schlorships is for board and jee toppers not on behalf of any internal exam.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is good as such you are going to enjoy your four year of college and There are various events major are Techno VIT and vibrance the are extremely good events I loved the TechnoVit currenty I am fresher so I don't know about vibrance that much. The library of Vit Chennai is one of the best there are lacks of book on every topic and genre you want and a bunch of journals and reserch papers are there some of them written by student and faculty of Vit also. So that is pretty good. The facilities for sports are not that good that is also a problem in vit they do not want you play outside the grounds are small and not sufficiant to play. And about there is absolutly not issue there are more the 130 clubs here, you can join any of them. There is more than enough clubs.

Admission

I applied for Bits and Mit and I also able to get clear both exams but i get admited in VIT because the fees compare to them is on lower side and also placement is good, I know Bits is a better choice but I can't affored fees of BITS and MIt is not as good as VIT. Admission process is simple you just have to apply fot Viteee exam and score good marks if you scored rank between 1-30000 you will able to get good brach in Category 1 and Category 2. Eligiblity is 75% in PCM no other requirement. If you get admission is Category 1 or Category 2 then you can take it otherwise it is not worth it.

Faculty

4

Faculty are highly qualified and also good at teaching their respective subjects, but the problem is majorly the faculy are Tamil and they start to talk in Tamil which as a north Indian I can't understand but you can say they are good in teaching. Also the ratio of Faculy and student is good and you can approch any faculty any time you can mail and also call them. Some factuly I personly don't like is Punitavelan.N our Engineering physics faculty, he release his frustration on student don't allow to even breath in class and do not answer doubts also. There are three exam in each semester CAT-1 , CAT-2 and FAT, CAT-1 is on easier side and CAT-2 is open notes exam so it is on tricker side and FAT is final assessment test which is the hardest one among them. Curriculum is updated as per current market requirements.

Other Applied Colleges

Manipal Institute of Technology - [MIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I think the fee is quite higher side according to their placement.

BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

Same here the fee is too high but the collage is excellent in aspect of their their curriculum

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
