Remarks

The college timings are a bit long from 9:10 to 4:20, so we do not get enough time for our projects or any extracurricular activities. Moreover, some faculties need to extend their knowledge of their particular subject.

Entrance Exam, Merit List

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very good. As my college is a deemed college, hence it upgrades the syllabus every year according to the new researches and new technologies which comes in the market. For eg., till last years only python language was there in our Btech syllabus, but since 3 years Machine Learning and Deep Learning were also introduced, and this year along with these two we even have Artificial Intelligence subject in our syllabus. Apart from regular lectures, even workshops are organized and special seminars regarding the new technologies, career in a particular technology, etc. We have different languages, around 4-5 main subjects, humanities, and social sciences subject, and one software project subject in each semester, so in total, we have 6-7 subjects in each semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

Mostly, local Gujarat companies visit for the placements, Indian Navy, Bijus, etc visit. The salary offered is between 1.2 - 9 LPA. Placemats are not that good as compared to other colleges. But for average students the placements opportunity is good. In Gujarat, many colleges have the same packages.

College Events

3.5

There are two types of events in my university. One is SPOURAL (Sports and Cultural Event) which is held every year in the month of January. This event consists of Sports like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Volleyball, Chess, etc sports events which is held between different departments. Other than these cultural events like Drawing, Painting, Dumb charades, Antakshari, Mehendi, are there as off-stage events and other dances, mime, singing, instrumental playing, fashion show, etc are organized as the on-stage event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees per annum to be paid is 1,16,000 Rs. But one needs to pay the fees per semester which is 58,000 Rs., where 56,000 Rs. is the tuition fees and 2000 Rs. is the examination fees. This fees structure is a bit expensive as it is exclusive of all other charges like hostel and transportation fees. So for a middle-class family, the fees are quite expensive, but again on other side, all other engineering colleges have around the same fees structure, so can't blame for the fees to be expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers a scholarship of 32,000 Rs. at the very first semester of the college to all the students who got admission as per the merit list generated by the ACPC. This scholarship is not given to NRI or management quota students. Apart from this, a merit scholarship is also provided to the first 6 rank holders who do not get any other scholarships (like MYSY). This merit scholarship is given for 3rd semester and 5th-semester students. The amount ranges from 40,000 to 1st and 2nd rank holders, 30,000 to the 3rd and 4th rank holders and 20,000 to 5th and 6th rank holders.

Campus Life

4.5

As told before we have SPOUSAL, where different sports like Cricket, Volleyball, basketball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Football are played between the teams of different technical and nontechnical departments. Some students among the teams are selected to play the sport at a state level representing the college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are cleaned every day, each room has 3 beds and one bathroom. There are a total of 3 hostels and 2 wardens are allotted to each hostel. Breakfast, lunch, dinner are provided to all hostilities. Infrastructure is very attractive and full of greenery making an ideal place for learning and gaining knowledge. The college is a bit far from the city, so makes it full of good vibes and city commotion free. All the departments have solar panels on their terraces, thus all the energy is used from the solar energy. Every labs, classes, hostel rooms have air conditioners.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, of course, all of them are very much helpful. We have a Whatsapp group where all seniors and alumni are there so that the current students can contact any of them any time personally. Most of the seniors still come and visit the college in occasions like an annual day or SPOUSAL, or Cognizance and help us and even participate in different events.

Exam Structure

There are a total of two types of exams, one Internal exam and other External exams. Internal exams are on every Mondays and are 2 in numbers. Thus we have 2 internal exams of each subject on every Monday. Internal exams are either practical or theory depending on whether the subject is a language or a theory/mathematical subject. The internal exams marks for each subject is 30 and there are 2 internal exams, so each subject has 60 marks for internal exams. External exams are of two types, one practical external exam, and other theory external exam. Practical exams are scheduled in a week, each subject a day. Theory exams are on specified dates decided by the university. Practical eams include coding and vivas carrying a total of 50 marks even 100 marks for more practical/ language oriented subject. Theory exam is of 70 marks.

Admission

I got admission through my 12th standard results plus JEE Mains marks. According to 60-40 criteria (i.e 60% marks from 12th results and 40% marks of JEE mains result), ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional courses) makes a merit list of all the students who filled the form given by ACPC along with some documents like AADHAR, mark sheets, family income certificate, etc. Thereafter, ACPC gives a username and a password, through which one needs to register in their official site, enter the password and then one can choose from the list of all colleges which comes under ACPC (mostly all Gujurat colleges are under ACPC). 80% of seats are reserved for students taking admission through ACPC. This is how I got admission in my college.

Faculty

2.5

The faculties are good, not excellent, they teach us whatever the things are in the books not more than that. They mainly teach us through ppts in theory subjects like DBMS, DSA. For programming subjects, they teach us while writing the code, and in mathematical subjects they use boards. The teaching is good overall as same things are been taught which is already there in the books. But apart from this faculties provide assignments to write, which is something good as we get enough practice for our exams and our doubts are cleared. In short, the faculties are good with what they have been taught and what they have read, something extra related to the subject is not much known to them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we all know , college learning is not only about textbooks, and real world knowledge is equally important. in this area, the college supports student well by giving exposure to practical learning . the course includes industry related topics, and teachers also try to explain how concepts are used in real life. the curriculum is helpful, but adding more modern tools, software and hands on projects would make it even better. Overall, the syllabus prepares student for future jobs and higher studies, while still leaving some room for improvement.

studemts become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement acitivity keeps happening throghout the final year.companies like TCS,Tata LTIindtree, wipro and few local startup like tcs and ltimindtree and the avg pakage stays on the lower sidw compared to big private colleges,The opporrinties are there ,but not as many as we expect. the percnatage of stundents getting placed depends a lot on the batch ,but it's definitely not 100%. A good number of students get interships or jobs their own efforts also, beacuse some companies dont visit every year.if a student if genuinely working on skills and projects, they can manage to get something , but the college placements alone might not be enough for evryone. after completing my degree, l plan to work on my technical skills and try for better opportunities throgh of campus options as well.i don't want to depend only on the on capus placements.my goal is to build a good portfolio so i can apply to bigger companies later.
