Course Curriculum Overview

Journalism is a very attractive course for the people who are great at content writing , keen to know about the surrounding and want to have a camera presence as journalists it teaches us alot about unbiased opinions and righfulness

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 134000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fee of journalism is 134000 three year the per semester fee is 22350 it is one of the highest fee courses in my college the facilities are according to the fees but our department alone has a ac seminar room thats a plus point

Campus Life

Kamala Nehru is right next to gargi and there only one other college lsr near it but its quite cutoff from the south campus and all three are girls college so there no boys of the delhi university near the north campus is much better if you want happening environment

Admission

Kamala nehru college has a fantastic journalism department its known for across many colleges the curriculum that the college provides is commendable and would recommend to students its has a gerat alumi network

The faculty of delhi university in general is quite good talking about the journalism department there are 2 teachers teaching in the first sem they are quite nice and professional overall we have six faculty members over the course

Night Life

Nightlife is honestly not there as it is one of the two colleges stranded but the fest of 2024 was emaculate Consider this that there is will be no nightlife if you are a day scholar and little if you live in a pg that depends on you

THE ALL ROUNDER

Likes

The college has a very beautiful greeny campus.
The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

Placments here are good , Reputed Companies here visit campus offering great packages like Asian paints and MRF. They also help student in preparing for the Placements by organizing variouas events and sessions

College and my 1st year

Likes

All girls college not male allowed in there without permission so everything feels right and safe
Conducts annual fests to change the vibe
Gotta know different types of people from different places

Dislikes

Student often get used to bad habits like smoking and drinking
To many protests everyone is doing protest even for the smallest inconvenience
Some teachers doesn't complete the syllabus they left it and students have to study on their own

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially I wanted to choose physics honours with somehow I felt physics will get me to hard as per by 12 so I choose chemistry honours over physics honours and as if I am doing bsc so yeah it is giving me all the Chemistry by and I feeling alrighting am a learning will help me for job one day the classroom here are very small and very uncomfortable to set and study only thing for teaching I want to change for my department is the classrooms and examination schedule date sheet is also very bad for Delhi University like they change the date sheet 4 to 5 times within a month and till the one is not confirmed so yeah that's things

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

college provide good placements. Recently companies like deloite, paytm, zepto, agile, insplore and many more companies visited in campus. only 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement. Average package company offered is 500000. as for internships only 5th semester in 2nd year are eligible for applying in internships.

The professors in my college are very supportive
There is many opportunities in every field of engineering
No crowded place professors support in projects and guides you to get better placement

Hostel management are very low lack of room for home state students

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

Remarks:

Faculties of this institute are good and helps in understanding each and every thing clearly and also it is near to my house. Campus is also good with every facility that a student needs. This college also provide teaching material to students so that they can get their concepts clear even at the time of exams.
