- Academics are taken seriously by faculty and management
- Faculty is well educated and well versed with the topic
- Demographics are nice. College is situated at a hill top and hence lot of greenery and view.
Dislikes
- Mandatory for 3 people to share hostel room. 6pm intime for females.
- Mess is not very good especially north indian food.
- Situated in a rural area hence not a lot of city life
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum followed is standard CBME Curriculum. NMC guidelines are thoroughly followed. Teachers are very efficient. They teach in English. Also peer teaching is practiced. Overall study and acedemics are very well taken care of.
Internships Opportunities
There is mandatory internship in mbbs in the last year. Hospital in the campus is where we do our internship and postings. Stipend as of now is 13000. There are residency vacancies available. Patient flow is increasing day by day.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees for my batch is 901924. There is hike in fees every year Application fees on KEAM website for 1 lac whoch was readjusted in my tuition fees once i got the college via counselling Tution fees after including KEAM fees was 7 lacs There was a special fees for 70000 approx Hostel fees is 114000 As a student who doesn't belong to kerala, i could only apply for 15% merit quota. Hence no reservations (sc/st) There is nri quota. Fees per year is 1748796. No scholarships are available
Campus Life
Campus is situated in a hilly rural area hence there are not a lot of people around and not a lot of festivities. There are college celebrations organized by students. There are no clubs as such. There is a student council. Infrastructure is not very good but campus is under construction so progress is being made in that area. There are competitions held for various activities like sports, extempore etc.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel we have to share room with 2 more roomates. Rooms are not too spacious but okay for 3 people. Mess has been recently changed so we still dont know how this'll be hut previous mess was extremely bad especually for north indian students. As far as affordability goes it's one of the most affordable hostel in kerala. Pg and flats are a bit difficult to find but not impossible.
Admission
I didnt have enough marks in neet to get a govt. Medical college. So i applied for private medical counselling. Kerala by far has the cheapest in terms of fees medical colleges with quality education. Process of admission is via keam website. I had to prepare necessary documents and applied. Schedule was released and i got this college in the second round of counselling.there are obviouly better colleges in kerala and india if you have the marks for it.
Faculty
Faculty are well educated from top institues. Very approachable and helpful. For mbbs, mainly there are 2 sessional exams in first year 1 modal exam and then final university exam Reguar tests are taken on weekly/monthly basis
