Bsc Forensic Science at LPU

Forensic science being a unique field it attracts many students. LPU being the top private university student choose this university to do there Bsc on Forensic Science. There are not many opportunities in this field and education system are too much theoretical there are no exposure to different equipments and lab products. I would suggest University should focus more on practical based education because this field requires a lot of practical knowledge more then theoretical one

Internship was not provided by the uni for our course during my time i searched for it myself and uni granted me the permission to go for internship. I did my internship at Regional forensic science laboratory that was not a paid internship.

From 4th semester onwards students can join placement cell and they will provide placement classes to students which helps the student to get prepared for the interview process. Different companies visit frequently and they offer a placement to students with a near package of about 2-4 lpa (varies form company to company) Most of the students get placed with a job title as a sales manager with a starting salary of 30000. Form Bsc forensics science there are minimal placements and there are not many companies which come specifically to hire people pursuing this degree.

To do a Bsc in forensic Sciences degree from Lovely professional university you will need to pay per semester Rs 65000 only tuition fees, with this examination fees are also charged which is Rs 3000 for every semester. If you are going to opt for a Hostel you will have to pay around 1lakh 10 thousand rupees for a whole year. A total of around 240,000 would be your yearly expense (Including hostels and mess). A student who are from sports background would get a better scholarships and better opportunities in their field. Merit based Scholarships is also given by this university. If a student has a good cgpa fess are reduced by almost 50% Lpu also conducts Examination for scholarship which is known as Lpu Nest you can apply for this during admission. Based on the performance of Lpu Nest university provides scholarships. A fee of 850 is charged for this examination (Could be increased) For other courses in bioengineering and biosciences the fees may differ.

LPU has different cultural groups there is a separate building made for this activities which is known as Division of Students Welfare(DSW). Events and extracurricular activities happens often celebrities from different feilds visit the campus for such events and the vibe of those events are charismatic. Lpu has a colossal library with availability of almost all the books.

Hostel are little expensive, we can get facilities like canteens, laundry, Superstores, Saloons inside hostel buildings. Mess food is not at all good only during special functions they will give you better food. South Indian menu is far more better then north indian menu. Registration process are a little hectic one for hostel also there are many restrictions around hostel, later on it feels like a cage. You will get Good friends don't worry about that

At the time of searching for university to do this course i firstly applied at jain university bangalore but due to certain reasons i changed my decision and joined LPU. Admissions process are ver easy and admission councillors helps you finish your admission process efficiently

The forensic Science program at LPU is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in the field including crime scene investigation, forensic chemistry, toxicology, Biology and other fields of forensic science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. LPU's faculty are professional from different domains of forensic science and most of them are PHD holders bearing a lot of experience. They bring a lot of academic research and industry exposure. LPU often invites guest lecturers from different domains of forensic science which help students gain lot of knowledge. Lpu follows a semester based examination pattern which includes assessments marks as well that is Continuous Assessment marks and mid term examination marks.
