What Students Say
Likes
- the faculty is quite nice as during the exams they’re fully available
- they give students with bad percentage a chance which is something that i really liked
- if you talk to the teachers well and show them respect and that you’re willing to study their subject they will help you alot regarding the internships and all
Dislikes
- i did not like the infrastructure at all as the classes are small and dirty
- the classes or labs do not have ACs and incase they do, the ACs dont work
- theres is no cleanliness, the parking is too small
Course Curriculum Overview
it is a very average course, the curriculum does not really prepare you for the real world, the main focus of college is to try to get rankers so even the teachers teach according to the exams only, tho the students who are willing to work hard get quite some opportunities
Internships Opportunities
government interships are provided from first semester onwards students get internship at companies like infosys fourth semester onwards students are required to make mini projects third semester onwards which helps at the time of placements and further final year projects are done
Placement Experience
from the first semester students are informed and helped to join government interships that provide a valid certification, and interships are started 5th semester onwards and some students get it from 3-4 semester as well alot of reputable companies visit like amazon, infosys, tcs etc the average package offered is 3-4L pa and the highest is around 11-15L pa tho only 2-3 students get it the percentage of placement varies, for the computer science branch the placements are quite good and around 85-90% students are placed but for the other branches the percentage is quite less my plans after getting a degree from here is to do master abroad, and i would like to get placed till the time i clear the exams to go abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
so in the first year the fees for data science btech is 1,28,000 and it decreases second year onwards for second, third and fourth year the fees is 1,16,000 mostly you have to pay the fees in full, yearly but incase anyone can not pay the full fees they can write an application and pay in half
Campus Life
in the first year there are a lot of entertainment events which the students would really enjoy annual fest is also held mostly in the month of march and good artists come like hardy sandhu, kanika kapoor and mini hackathon and other technical events are also held a lot of companies also come which provide free certications there are alot of societies as well for different categories, technical, arts and craft, environmental, dance, singing, acting etc and these are mostly student funded books are provided semester wise from the library itself so no need to purchase any extra books the campus is small and area to play sports is also less overall the campus is average, and the infrastructure is below average
Admission
the admission process is quite simple, i'll tell from my experience so i scored really low in my 12th but i had good marks in 10th abd even in 12th i scored well in maths and in JEE as well my maths percentile was good so i got admission in computer science data science, so for the admission a short interview was taken in which i was asked some questions like 1. why do i want this course 2. what is the course about 3. the future scopes of the current course 4. why were my marks low 5. how do i plan to proceed in this course and i did answer all of the questions but they helped me and gave me a brief about the course as mentioned i scored low so i applied to other nearby aktu colleges ofcourse but i did not get in, and here are the some differences: 1. those colleges had a dress code but IPEC did not 2. those colleges had bigger campus than IPEC 3. other colleges were more reputed and had really good infrastructure compared to IPEC
Faculty
so there are 120 seats for DS and AIML abd 180 for CS CORE, now these are divided into 2-3 sections and each section has one coordinater the number of lectures are a bit extra as you have 35-40 lectures a week ( i.e. 7-8 lectures per day) which makes the academic life quite hectic the faculty is nice, most of the teachers work hard to get the results, tho as the crowd is not that good (alot of students dont really care about the studies they only come to college to bunk and hangout with their friends) so a lot of students have back, in my batch alot of students (even the ones that teachers really liked) got back in average 1 subject
