Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was influenced by the rise in Computer Science market in the work industry. The course curriculum is relevant to the given program. IPEC provide many learning experience in many forms. Scheduled training programs to prepare for placements and interviews. Different guest lecturer for different coding languages and also organised casses to learn new real-world competitive languages. one area which need improvement is scheduling time tables for classes, as there is no time in between them othere than lunch and at the end of the day it's get very tiring. IPEC held two sessionals marked out of 45 of duration one and half hour. One pre-university exam before main exams of 100 marks of duration three hors. The main university exam usually takes place after 2-3 weeks after the pre-university exam again of same 100 marks of three hours.

Internships Opportunities

4

IPEC do not differently present a full time job or internship opportunities separately. They send all mails regarding any of them all together, its on student to choose which one to choose. But they do provide plenty of opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in IPEC are pretty decent. Many big companies visit also for mass hiring or for big packages, but mostly there are startup. Comapnies like Paytm, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant etc. from seventh semester students starts getting offers for campus placements. But if student wants they can try for internships by themselves before seventh semester. The highest package was ranged arounf 27-35 lakh, but the average package was around 4 lakh. Mostly IPEC faculty and members of training and placement cell used to make sure that all students gets placed, for which they provide different training programs to learns from, consisting subjects like aptitude, maths or logicreasoning but also for different coding languages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The institute fees for me per year was around 1,25,000 Rupess. The amount remains same for four years of the Btech program. Over the complete duration of course the fees was around Six lakh Rupees including examination fees which was 8000 Rupees per year. In the first year students aditionally pay for the admission and registration fees, laboratory fees, examination fees for the year and also a refundable caution deposit fees of around 10,000 to 15,000 Rupees. IPEC does not have separate slab for SC/ST students but it do provide them different schemes for fees reduction which was about 28,000 Rupees for tution and institute fees.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience was full of growth and learning. I joined many clubs like Film and media, Theater society, sports club and technical club. As an introvert child these open me more as a social person and to connect with different people. I tried theater writing, acting, dancing, also directed and written for film & media. Other than these clubs there were variety of many different clubs in the institution, for singing, mechanical engineering and many more. There are two sports festival, one that is intra-college sports competion held mostly in march. And the other one was Inter sports college competiotion held in the month of september also called "zonals". Other than these events, they also held many different festivals. The annual college fest is called "Udhbhav", mostly held in april. Other than that "Garba festival" around Dusshera and many other small and big events for students. The library has almost every related books regarding every course academic, but not any other genres only academic. It have more than one lakh books in the library. IPEC also provide every semester subjects book from library. One can have them for whole semester just by showing your Id-Cards.

Admission

Other than IPEC, i wanted to join SRM Chennai. I was not able to join cause i was late to application and the only course that was available was Biotechnology. So i joined IPEC, in year 2021 it was under top 10 category for top colleges of AKTU. And also it was close to my home. Easy transportation, close to home, nice infrastructure. The admission process was quite easy, it took almost three days for me to fulfill it. And out of that one was only college tour day. Other two days took to fees submission and all documents submissions. The eligibility was decided by affiliated universitythat is AKTU, which is most of the time around minimum 70-75% in PCM. Other that the results of JEE are also accepted.

Faculty

The faculty at IPEC were friendly and approachable. We were provided with two mentors for one class of 60-70 students. My favorite has to be our HOD, he was the most friendly person. First time he seemed like a strict person who will scold you for breathing wrong but over the years he was the one where we used to go for advice and help in any thing. Another teacher who was the Head of training and placement cell. He was a bust body but evn in short conversation he make sures that you are preparing well for coming placements and you are getting all the needed help that you need. There are really not anyone whom i didn't like, if not my favorite they all are good as teachers. There are six exams every semester, in which one of them used to be elective. Other than these there used to three labs every semester. Only in fourth year we have 4 subjects per semester out which one is elective and one Project. All subjects every year are pretty relativeto the course and other that these subjects there is also different labs which were only focused on coding and leaning different languages for student, these labs were not scored academically. Per semester their is one or two subject which is hard for many students but in my opinion if prepared well and in given time they are not that hard and can easily scored. Previous year papers are a big help in exams and learning.

Night Life

4

I was a day-scholar so i was not allowed after 6 PM. the college is closed for day-scholar after 6PM but for hostelers it was decent according to my friends who were from hostel. The main Canteen got closed after 6 or 7 PM but there is a small snacks shop that is open till late. Also a stationary shop. Every main premises of college get closed by 6 PM, like library, classes, seminar and everything. But gardens and open areas like sports arena are open for hostelers till late if they want to use it. There is a gym, a billiards club, sports arena for badminton and table tennis and court for basket ball and volleyball. The college timing are from 9:00 AM to 4:50 pm for Btech students. For hostelers the hostel curfew was till 7:30 PM.

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Placement Experience:

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
