- Castism problem is on peak, hostel condition is little bit poor
- Lack of fund for any workshop, trainings, internships, research outside the state

Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is very nice, basic to advance things are present in the course, the skill based courses are specially focused which makes us to believe that we can apply these in real time world. But the advance level of knowledge we have to get ourself, its seems like a disadvantage. There is no pressure for students regarding the exam, students from a department can choose their exam dates together.
Fees and Financial Aid
All Ph.D students in college of Basic science and humanities and College of Biotechnology has same fee structure i.e. 35000/year including all charges with Rs. 10000/month stipend to that student who has more than 75% marks in their post graduation program and other will get 5000/month (below 75%). No fee compensation for SC/ST student.
Campus Life
Campus life is not so excellent, but some facilities that you must like: Gymkhana club One of the biggest library in the state A beautiful pond Diffrent activities near the universities Connection to the airport road, urban estate, food market. Agriculture museum Sports Stadium Coach for particular sports, international hostel. Extracurricular activities on special day or occasion
Admission
I applied in MDU, but mostly i prefer HAU, because i have had heard lot about this and some of my known seniors were purisuing masters or PhD here, i didn't apply to any other university. For admission in HAU, you have to give entrance exam for 3 hours and they are selected on the basis of merit ( >50 marks ) and for JRF student, you have to clear the interview.
Faculty
Ratio of faculty to student is 3-5:1 (3-5 student on one teacher, including masters or PhD), the faculty has good relationship with students, its like a friendship with them, they help their student any time. I like all the teachers of my department and some teachers of other department that are known to me, all are very good. Only the course exam is occur i.e. for 15-20 days and exams are of intermediate level but conceptual. Teachers take 1 week doubt class before exam.
