Course Curriculum Overview

The couse curriculum is very helpful for the people who wants to establish their future based on finance.There is a sir who is a chartered accountant and has his own firm and also helps other students and teaches them practical work over there

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is around 6-7k for every year.You can receive Swami Vivekananda Scholarship which is merit based and must have 60% for applying and there are other scholarship as well for other categories.The total fees structure is around 20k.

Campus Life

There is a student union in our college and they are friendly to us and also respect each individual's decisions.There are many clubs such as photography club,drama club,NSS club,etc.There are many books available in our library and it is quite peaceful for studies.

Admission

I did apply to various other colleges.I applied to the college which was nearest to my home but i got rejected due to some problems in the photo upload.The next closest and well known one was Bhairab Ganguly College and i am very glad that i took admission in this college.It was merit based.

Faculty

The faculty members are very helpful and supportive to the students.Dr Sanjit Kumar Das is one of the best teachers.In each semester,you have to give 2 exams,one is the internal which you have to give in college and one external which you have to go and give it in other college.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

A College with Potential

I also applied for Barackpore Surendra Nath rastra guru college, i dont take admission to that college is beacause of distance i live in belgharia and bhairab ganguly college is the nearest college i have and if i have to go to Barracpore College i have to travel via train or buses so thats why i choose this college over that. Yeah i also applied at st. pauls cathedral mission college i don't make their cause according to their merit list my marks are too low so thats why i didn't take addmision their. Our college take admission based on our 12th board exams if i have enough marks for admission i get admitted and if i dont have the marks i dont get admitted. the cut offs in this admission proccess go lowest around like 350 out of 500 in the 12th board....Read More
