The cbcs pattern( choice based credit system) of bsc zoology give the all round knowledge one should have if they want to pursue msc in zoology or want to have a phd carrier . The main. topics includes in our curriculum is chordates, non chordates , developmental bio ,genetics ,molecular biology . One can also do their masters in molecular biology or other than zoology because they have gained their basic understanding during their bacherolrs .

I was paying 7,077 1st year but the fees was double for general students . Fees includes college exam fee,student union fee, library fee etc . It did increased in 2nd and final year . I paid 7,577 in both 2nd yr and final yr . This govt of odisha provide many scholarship schemes which the college facilitates like e-medhabruti , Biju yuba laptop yojna etc.

The memorable thing about my graduation is my campus life . They celebrate ganesh pooja and saraswati pooja . Ispat college have the tradition of giving best freshers and farewell . Students enjoy the most in these events . The infrastructure is good and also developing after government funded them . Our college also have a canteen . The classrooms , labs and other areas are also developed . Library cards are given at the beginning of the session with which you can take books for semester. One can also take part in student election .

Admission into Ispat College , Rourkela is through your 12th marks basis done by Sams (Student administration management system) . Sams allot the colleges based on the 12th marks . I opted for ispat autonomous college because it is walking distance from my house and they provide the same curriculum any private institution provides . The teachers are very good and the education is best there. This led me to keep this college at my 1st option.

The faculty of our zoology department are very passionate towards biology . They are very kind towards students and make sure that we get the point about the topics . Before every exams they solve our doubts and give important questios. Bsc in zoology follows the cbcs pattern . Each semester is of 100 marks . The first and second semesters have both ge and core subjects and then the rest semsters have only core subjects .
